This product is awful. I have had mine for 2 years and it has been nothing but problems since day one. It has been sent back to the shop to be adjusted 8 times, and sent back to Sherwood 3 times. Every time it comes back, it works fine for one dive, and then it is back to a constant free flow. It needs to be adjusted before almost every dive, and it has failed on me twice during dives at depths over 100ft.
I would not recommend this product to anyone who values their life.

This product lasted less than 20 dives before encountering the same issues as the other posters - continuous free flow. And even worse, it was making it impossible to fully fill my BC - this occurred mid-surface swim, which as you can imagine made life miserable. I'm switching to the Zeagle.

I've had the unfortunate experience of going through three, yes three of these octos in the span of one year. Each has had free flow issues from get go within the first half a dozen dives with the latest occurring within just 3 pool sessions! Leisure Pro has been very good about helping me with the problems and I'm very happy with my other Sherwood Maximus primary 2nd stage regulator, however here the problem is pure and simple - a poorly designed Sherwood product. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this product. Third time was no charm either!

Free flowing is a major problem. You do lose a hose, but you also stand the chance of losing a dive. Good idea, but needs major improvments on reliability.

I got the Gensis with my Sherwood BCD, I has to say it was a great deal. I hope to not use it but if I do I know it wont let me down.

Install is easy, Breaths better than any Octo that I have used.
If you are used to a standard setup, spend some time in the pool to master the new procedures

I had no problems attaching the Sherwood Gemini to my BC. I have been dedicated to Sherwood Regulators for the past 18 years but this one has let me down. Starting with my first dive the unit continously leaked air. It is not a free flow problem it just leaks air at a continous stream. The leak is not enough to ruin a dive but enough to be an anoyance. I am not sure what the problem is but I suspect it needs adjustment or it could be unit defect.

Great idea hard to keep in mouth because of stiff hose while using both hands doing other tasks. It is new to me and I'm sure it will become more flexible in time.
