The Mikron Octopus is the smallest and lightest of its kind available today. It is perfect for traveling divers and divers who don't want to be bogged down by their gear. Just because it has a low-profile design, don't think that the Mikron Octopus isn't reliable and sturdy. This little wonder is the ideal octopus for the everyday diver - at home or abroad. It weighs in at a mere 26 ounces (DIN) and 31 ounces (yoke). Because of its light weight, divers who are small in stature (specifically female and youth divers) will notice a lack of mouth fatigue when using the Mikron. Of course, its small size also frees up space in the traveling diver's gear bag!
When the breathing adjustment knob is set to "Mini", the device requires more effort by the diver; this setting is ideal for avoiding free-flow events. When the knob is set to "Maxi", breathing requires little to no effort from the diver. Because an octopus is (hopefully) rarely used, you can set the Mikron to "Mini" as the standard setting and then, if the octopus is called into action, the diver in need can adjust the breathing effort level to his or her desired amount.
