Colorful, Eye catching Soft Silicone Skirts New frame introduced for 2003 One of SeaVision's masks that support the quest to lead the way in optimal underwater vision enhancement. For the diver looking for maximum lighting efficiency and who finds the black silicone skirt undesirable. Seavision's TransVision Series mask is a comfortable fitting low volume two window mask with enhanced down and side vision in a streamlined frame. Mask is equipped with swivel buckles and its skirt is made from Crystal Silicone the highest grade of silicone available. This magenta lens is designed for use in waters where colors are more rich and vibrant. This unique product is designed to filter out blue wavelengths in the water, allowing your eyes to see the brilliant reds, oranges, yellows and green colors that are lost as a diver descends. For example, at a depth of 25 feet, red is no longer visible to the naked eye, at 75 feet, yellow looks greenish blue because the yellow light has been absorbed by the water. The Seavision technologyadjusts the color bands to allow users to actually see and enjoy the colors there in front of them.

Had the mask for 1 year - used regularly over 3 months BUT when I rinsed it ready to pack for a vacation - the plastic clip holding the strap broke off!

Comments about Sea Vision SeaVision TransVision Mask:

This mask shows the true colors underwater. It filters out the blue, so the warm colors are seen. It makes a difference in seeing macro subjects, such as Nudibranchs and Shrimp.

Comments about Sea Vision SeaVision TransVision Mask:

Received my mask just before a dive cruise in the Caribbean to Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, and Freeport with 2 tank dives at each site. I had problems the first dive with fit and with fogging. The mask instructions said 'don't do anything (like toothpaste, etc) it already has defog' so I believed them. Don't. But also note that ALL I used was a healthy dose of spit, well scrubbed and seawater rinsed, before each dive and NO fogging.

As far as fit I did the "try it at a shop" first and it fit better there than when I got it. It leaked my first dive, then I tried tightening the strap and like magic, it stopped leaking. I have to get it lower on my face than I thought I should and sometimes had to reposition under water - which doesn't bother me. Once in correct position it was great. It does fit closer than my old US Divers mask (not a low volume mask) and I could feel a ridge against my brow above my nose, but not uncomfortable for the duration of a dive.

As far as the color correction - its impossible to know without actually swapping masks underwater (which I didn't do). I can say that the tinting was not evident to me under water - everything looked normal, which is perhaps evidence that it works well!

Comments about Sea Vision SeaVision TransVision Mask:

This is my second purchase. Purchased strictly as a replacement. My previous mask had prescritpion lens. Since I had Lasik I needed a mask without prescription lenses. Have been using Sea Vision mask for > 6 years.

Comments about Sea Vision SeaVision TransVision Mask:

Nothing wrong with the mask. However, it did not provide as good a fit for my face as does the Sea Vision Ultra model. I returned this mask and reordered the Ultra
