Humans have peripheral vision, so why do many mask engineers not take that into account when designing new dive masks? The forward-thinking people at Scubapro did take peripheral vision into account when designing the Clear VU 4 Window mask. Not only does it have two large forward-facing lenses, but it also has two seamless side windows that allow the diver to have an almost panoramic view of the underwater world. Because the Clear VU 4 has a clear silicone skirt, your vision will be even greater, due to the fact a clear skirt allows more light to penetrate into the mask than does a colored skirt. No longer will you feel like you're diving in a tunnel with this mask on your face!

The Clear VU 4's streamline design guarantees you'll experience less drag than with other masks and allows you to easily clear the mask at any time.

This mask has great visibility in all directions, making it ideal for easy scanning. The skirt works well with my face in preventing leaks. The small volume isn't as important as the low profile characteristics, as clearing a mask is not usually an issue for me. I would be as bold to say that this inexpensive mask compares to the higher end Atomics.

Replace my old 3 window with this and used for 10 days of diving/snorkeling. Good visibility, fit well and did not leak. Only issues were with riding up on my nose under water, which might be true for all masks, and the refracted light in side windows. Had to get used to angling my head to see dive/snorkel buddies becuase the view actually seems more backward (behind) than normal peripheral vision under water. Got used to the discontinuity of vision at the joints. Am happy with purchase. My nose would appreciate a downward bow in the bottom of the nose pocket so that when the mask is bouyant it does not ride on the septum or whatever that piece is that separates the nostrils.

Every mask I own leaks a little, because of the shape of my face, but with a little silicon mask sealer this is the best mask I have used. With a little sealent it doesn't leak unless I intentionally flood the mask. The side panels offer view at 90 degrees to forward line of vision without decreasing rage of view. I am getting a second as a backup.

Clear VU 3 was a good mask, but this upgraded
scubapro is great.

Great mask, super comfortable and great viewing capabilities. Used a bit of defog in them when new and never fogged up. The seal was great and they never leaked, also very easy to adjust the headband while diving with a push of the button. Really like the side viewing windows to help catch things from the corner of your eye. I got the clear, look very sharp.
