Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

I had one of these masks and returned it because it was/is sooo difficult to download. Even though many of you don't download your computers and dives, for $1000+, if it says that you can download it, then you should be able to download it, and, without difficulty. For the price, it should do all they say it will do - without difficulty.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

Absolutely Amazing!!!!. Make sure you clean the computer screen with the cleaner also. One minor thing that needs to be mentioned. The screen is unreadable when you look into the sun, but that is so irrelevant. I used it in cold and warm water with no problems. Sometimes part of the screen was out of sight when I used it with a hood, but it had something to do with the hood and the way mask fit around it. I need to adjust it better when the water gets warmer. In warm water, without the hood, it was flawless.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

I have always had an Oceanic mask, so the fit for me was as expected, great. It never leaks and I use either baby shampoo or Sea Drops so it never fogs. The great thing is that I am ALWAYS aware of my air pressure and depth. Great hans free for photograghy. Pricey, but great if you have the money to spend.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

If you think this is an over-priced gimmick, it might be pricey, but functionality is amazing! The heads up display makes diving intuitive. You always know your depth, pressure, dive time remaining without checking gauges. Leaves the diver hands free. Ever loose track of your depth while diving a wall? Not with this mask, just glance down to the heads up display. If you've done a night dive, checking gauges with a flash light can be a trick. Not with this mask, info is digital and lit up so you know continuously your status. This is probably the greatest recreational advancement in diving. When we go on dive trips, everyone on the boat is blown-away when they check out our masks (wife has one too). Downloadable dive info, easy system setup. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

It is great to have crucial dive data available while being focussed on making pictures with both hands occupied.
The limitation in field of view of the RH side of the mask is less than I anticipated.
The visual alignment is not good. The HUD data on the RH side of the display is not fully visible. This aspect is addressed by e-mail to Oceanic but no answer received to date.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

I am an instructor with thousands of dives. This product fit my face perfect and does not leak at all. I am always checking other peoples pressure--it is very nice to check my own depth and pressure with a quick glance. My dive buddy always has a video camera in his hand, I recommend for those camera people you always know your depth and pressure with out looking for a gauge. This is a 10

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

Display in mask should be about 1/4 inch higher. It is hard to see sometimes and fogs up easily. I still haven't been able to download it, after numerous tries. Does not have an owners manual. I should have saved my money.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

Makes you a much safer and aware of your conditions and surroundings when you can monitor your air pressure and depth without having to do anything but look at the screen. When looking out of the lenses into the water, I cant tell that the screen is there. If you can afford its worth it.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic DataMask HUD (Heads Up Display) Hoseless Nitrox Dive Computer with Transmitter:

I purchased one of these about 2 weeks ago and have about 10 dives on it up here in the NW. This is probably one of the great advances to come along in a while. All of your critical information is in plain sight all of the time. No more fumbling for your guages while trying to hold a camera, light or use your hands for a task.
The display is easy to read and you can even hear (and see) the alarms when wearing a thick hood.

The two disadvantages are: 1. There is some visibility restriction to the right and the lower right because of the computer. Easy to get used to and you probably want to try and keep your buddy to the left but well worth the trade-off. I have always used a tri-view mask so it took about 2 dives to get used to but I adapted quickly. 2. The computer display can be difficult to read in bright sunlight. Easy to get around by shading the mask with your hand or looking down.

All in all this mask is well worth a look and I am planning to buy a second one for my wife once I can save up the big $$$ again.
