Ive a beard and moe and this mask leaks profusely, on land it holds a seal though, go figure? Otherwise its a nice mask. The straps dont seem to hold tight either.

I have been using another mask that I had paid 3-times the price for and felt like I was looking through a black tube or tunnel all the time with limited vis! This Mares X-Vision is EXCEPTIONAL! It is not only comfortable - the fit is perfect and the material it is made of is soft as can be - but it has a field of view that is un-matched by any mask I have used since 1974 when I first started diving! I bought the Clear/Blue version and love it.

I bought this mask for my son [beginner], as a replacement [lost] - He doesn't like change, but he loves this mask. I tried it for one dive and must agree it has good field of view for adjusting/reaching areas around your waist and BC. Good clarity. Can't beat the price/performance value.

I've had the same mask, but blue with clear sides and strap. This time I went with the black/black, which actually reduces glare for better u/w visability. Of course I'm pleased with the product, I now have two of them!

I just returned from a 6 days of 2 tank dives. I bought the clear frame model. It does reflect light a little when I was snorkeling, but when diving it was perfect. It fits very well. I used Sea drops with spit combo and it never fogged. It has great field of vision. I tested it in a pool before leaving for my trip and it seemed to be ok but once I used it on the dives it was awesome. I highly recommend this mask and will buy another when I need to replace it. I think I will get the next one with black skirting.

Just don't buy the clear one! It gives you a glare back on the inside of the mask. Too much light comes in and makes a halo. It fits well and has a high range of vision. I had to paint my new mask to stop the light from coming in. Works well now.

I tried it on and I was convinced this was the mask for me. I used the Cressi Big Eyes and some other but this felt comfortable for me. With mask because our faces are not the same try it on. This was good for me.

Great scuba diving mask, still not sure about using it for snorkeling. The range of vision is best I've ever had, but it tends to move on my face when snorkeling and needs readjusting. It also leaks a little in the area under the nose when clearing the snorkel.

I use this mask for snorkeling and scuba diving. The range of vision is fantastic, fits nicely but it has problems handling the change of pressure when snorkeling. The mask seems to move slightly when I clear the snorkel, there is also a small leak under the nose but that clears after I readjust the mask. I would recommend it for scuba diving, for snorkeling one may need some getting used to the looseness.

The X Vision is not a bad mask and in fact is a better then average unit. When I was training in FL I was diving this mask 3-4 to 5 times per day in the pool and also in the ocean on the reef. It didn't fog badly and everything about it worked great. When I got home and am diving at the aquarium where I work as a diver it fogs, leaks and causes me all kinds of problems.

Why it started fogging now I can't understand and the fit doesn't seem very good at all if you are wearing a hood. I would recommend looking at other masks before settling on this one.

I wanted a mask that had good downward vision. Based on reviews, I purchaged Mares X-vision. THe mask is well built but it fits me poorly. I did 2 dives with it but it constantly leaked. I am going to look for some other mask.

This mask is great! I have the clear framed version and love the amount of light that is let in! This mask is very comfortable on my face. Masks need to be purchased directly for the person that is going to be using it. I would recommend that to everyone.

this is a low profile mask. it has great vision. the sizing needs to be better. it is a very nice mask but it did not fit my face. my wife bought one as well and it did not fit her either. i find it leaks too easy. if you can keep an absolute straight face it will work but any movement and its full of water.

Bought the clear style and fell in love with the X-Vision. Although I did get some glare in the top corners of the lenses, so I bought the black X-vision. Fell in love w/ it even more. Black silicone really provides better visibility especially at night, the black silicone even also seems softer than the clear. My girlfriend purchased the X-vision mid because she has a small face and it seals so well that she has trouble pulling it off of her face.

I have a a hard to fit face, most masks tend to be too big and leak, but this mask worked very well with minimal leaking, and was easy to clear.

I resisted a split lens mask, always was told that single lens masks were better for visibility, BUT I WAS WRONG! X-Vision mask was perfect and great for my Yucatan vacation and will be great for my future dive trips!!!

Overall, a great mask for a great price. Both my girlfriend and I have very different face shapes and sizes. Whenever we rented equipment, we always had trouble finding mask that fits well.
I finally tried an X-Vision, and it fit perfectly. My girlfriend then tried it and found that it fits great as well.
When doing my AOW course, the strap slipped off my head without me realizing at the beginning of the dive. However, the fit was so good, it stayed in place with no flooding the whole dive.

I bought one of the Blue X-Visions to try as opposed to the Cressi-Sub Big Eyes I owned. The Cressi was okay for snorkeling, but leaked on dives. The X-Vision worked like a charm for both. After diving with the blue one for a few times I bought the one with the black skirt and it is even better. As Mr. Quint would say, "That's good stuff Chief!"
