I have/had on-going left ear issues for a couple years and was finally diagnosed with a perforated ear drum just prior to leaving for Turks & Caicos. Doc advised keeping the ear completely dry. He had not heard of this mask and was impressed there was such an item but cautioned me against getting the inner ear wet, even in the shower. I had used this mask in the past due to recurring ear infections so I knew it worked. As a backup plan I also inserted Doc's Pro Plugs in each ear in case the mask leaked as it had in the past before I figured out that your hair needs to be very short. We made 8 dives at TCI and not a single leak. Easy to equalize with mask and doc's pro plugs gave me the confidence that if it did leak, I was safe. The only downside is the hood that is designed for this mask is difficult to use. It is hard to get the cups to seal around the ear and the inner liner ripped on me after a few uses, so I caution you for cold water diving.
For warm water diving or snorkeling I highly recommend this mask. Add Doc's Pro Plugs as a backup for added protection.

I have a perforated ear drum, which for most folks is a no-go for diving. This mask allowed me to dive, which I now do often for my career. Yes, your hair must be v. short for this to work well, but if you are willing to sacrifice your hair for your hearing and a comfortable dive experience this is more than worth it. The mask takes some time getting used to, but think about it eliminating the "mass-effect" of water pressure, there is no weight of water pressing against your eardrum. You still must equalize, but this is more like flying in a plane with this mask. Hearing is also improved while underwater. Take some time to adjust and play with this mask in the pool and after a few dives I bet you'll buy more for back-ups... that's what I did! Thank you Pro-ear!

This mask Saved my diving vacation. I can make my first dive without any equalization problems, but my second dive I have trouble with my left ear not equalizing some times I can't go lower then nine feet. I used this mask to make eight dives over four days time without any problems. I highly recommend this mask to anyone who has ear equalization problems.

Definitely a must if you need to keep your ears dry. I had 50/50 success with these goggles until I cut my hair short on the sides (1/4"). Last trip through 8 dives I had NO water in my ears. Prior to that with slightly longer hair (1/2") I had slight leakage but nothing major. A good seal is a must, as it is with the face mask. Ear cups are equalized when you eq your mask. Fantastic design. Recommended product. If you do any cold water diving you will need to buy a special hood to accomodate the ear cups.

I use to get swimmers ear horriably, not anymore.
Have been using this mask for about a year now. Replaced the strap with a neoorene one. Slides on much easier now. Keeps most all the water out of my ears, Not enough ever gets in to cause any discomfort.
I liked it so much my dad bought the sames ones, he loves them too.
Forms good to my face.

I had 25% of my ear drum gone due to putting Tea Tree Oil in my ear and I burned a whole in it. I thought I would lose my dive trip to Key Largo this past August. I was told about this mask and purchased it from a local dive shop the week before I left and even did a deep dive at Oronogo Mo to 85 ft. I made 7 dives in Key Largo with the mask along with diving ear plugs. I dove the Spiegal Grove and Duane at 114ft and 101 ft. with no problems at all. The mask worked great and I had very little water get in my ears and no vertigo at all during the whole trip.

Bought the mask for my wife because she cannot get water in her ears. No matter how hard we tried we could not get the ear seals to keep out 100% of the water due to her hair. I tried the mask, have a crew cut, and it sealed perfectly. No water at all. I believe this product would work great for someone with very short hair, but did not meet her needs.
