What I do is more snorkeling than freediving. I usually go down to about 30 feet max and simply enjoy the calm and quiet. As I have always liked small volume masks I had bought a Mares Star prior to my last trip to Hawai'i. It's a great mask - if it fits you. Sadly, it doesn't fit me. Every time I came up the mask was half-filled with water. I got the Superocchio mostly because I was desperate and had heard about it being a mask fitting narrow faces nicely. It turned out to be a great choice. The mask fits better than any other mask I have owned, I can equalize more easily, there is zero leaking, and it wears absolutely comfortably. If you have a narrow face and you are looking for a great freediving or snorkeling mask, this is the one to try. Besides, you can't beat the price.
