Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

I bought this mask when I first decided to get certified. I had used other masks from friends while snorkeling and when I tried this one on I knew it was the right one. I have used this mask in the Pool/Snorkeling/Spear fishing/Deep Dives. I have NO complaints about this mask. The only think I have done was change out the strap for one of those wide neoprene deals.

This is a great mask due to the shape of the lenses. They allow you to look down and see everything you need on your BC at all times, which is a big help when Spear fishing.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

This mask received good reviews in all the dive magazines and although i've only used it once since purchasing, i'm sure it lives up to the reviews. My only gripe is the adjustment apparatus on the side of the mask seems chincy and i'm afraid it won't stand the test of time.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

I wanted a mask that would satisfy my many needs. This mask did just that. My favorite thing to do in the water is pseudo-freediving/ snorkeling. This mask has very low volume, ultra low weight, and a non-bulky design due to the frameless construction. I travel frequently and I am a minimalist; consequently, the small amount of space in my suitcase that this took up was a huge plus.

I also enjoy recreational diving. This mask has a great field of view and is comfortable not only towards the surface, but also at depth. All around this is a versatile mask that I have recommended to many friends and family members of all different face types. This seems to be one of the few masks that works great for everyone.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

A great mask. I was looking for a low volume mask and was intrugued with the side view design of the "Penta". The fit was perfect for me and visibility inderwater was terrific. Furthermore, there isn't a lot of space in there so clearing is a breeze (the reason I wanted a low volume mask to begin with). Overall this is a terrific product.

Good mask, good quality and visibility

Lens Quality, Range of Vision, Very easy to clean
Cons:
Leaks in small face
Best Uses:
Open Water Diving

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

The quality of the mask is very good, very easy to clean underwater due to low profile.
Downwards visibility is very good, I didn't need to move my head too close too my chest too see my gauges as my old mask.
But... I have a smal face and if I don't fit this mask very up I'll have leak problems in the bottom part.

If you have a small face I suggest try it first.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

This mask has some great features. It lets in tons of light and the range of vision is spectacular. It is easy to adjust. The lenses are great. However, it does not fit my face well enough, and leaks just a little bit. I have to adjust it and clear it a few times each dive. If it fit my face a little better, I would love it, but I am looking for a better fitting mask to fit my face.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Penta Mask:

I spend a lot of time looking to replace my heavy, 4 window sherwood mask from the old days. I loved the mask but it was big compared to what's out there now, and masks are inexpensive so I decided to treat myself.

Cressi is by no means the number one mask producer, but they have a good product here. Low profile masks are all the rage, and for good reason: they really do clear FAST! This one is no exception.

I chose the penta, because I like the side windows. Its a never-ending debate which Im not about to get into, but just personal preference that I like to see things passing me on my sides, even if it is slightly askew. The mask is a little bigger than the 2 window design, but after seeing both side by side, it barely has more volume.

The teardrop style, also the new rage, is actually very functional. I have to move my head a lot less to see my feet or check my guages. Every bit helps! My buddy has the mares version, more $, about the same quality but it fits her head better.

The cressi, and other low profile masks, are tough fits. They dont fit as many faces universally as the old square box styles did. Bring your old mask on your first dive, just in case, and test in the tub if you can.

I found this mask to fog up a lot more as well, more than I am used to. I've only used it in belize so far, and the water was really up there during my stay, so I cant attest to this being directly related to the mask. It wasnt anything that a little anti-fog couldnt fix.

All in all I am very happy with this mask. Cressi tends to deliver, and this mask keeps the namesake going, especially at a great price. Id recommend this mask as a consideration to anyone who is sure of the fit.
