With Suunto's Quick Disconnect you can connect the cylinder pressure gauge to the regulator pressure port with only one quick and easy move. Disconnecting is just as simple. The Quick Release is installed between the gauge and the hose or between the hose and regulator first stage. This allows you to store the dive instruments in a safe place, independently from the cylinder and download the dive information easily in-between several dives. It is fast and reliable. The Suunto Quick release fits the entire Combo console range as well as Suunto Cobra and Suunto Cobra2.

Found this piece of gear to be of little use. It was prone to leakage and was not easy to connect or disconnect. One more point of potential problem and unneed complexity. I travel with my WHOLE regulator in carry on with no problems. I got rid of it within a 20 dives and two months of use. Should have gotten rid of it sooner.

as any other piece of dive gear it should be inspected and maintained after a number of dives. but overall I love being able to separate the unit from the regulator instead of lugging the whole unit around.

With many dives without the gauge disconnect, this has made it a lot easier to disconnect my computer to review the dive. Short of having a wireless wrist system this is easy to use.

Great feature as you can disconnect this from your rig when travelling or to download dive info, etc. Very safe, I have never heard of any issues of leakage. Very tight, deep fit to prevent any issues.
