The SK-7 has set a new standard for dive compasses. The superior SK-7 features an exceptional tilt potential of +/- 30 degrees, which is 2-3 times larger than in conventional diving compasses, easy-to-read numerals on a phosphorescent compass card and a large side-reading window. The firm-grip bezel with a ratchet at every fifth degree is especially designed to prevent sand and dirt contamination, thus allowing smooth turning in all conditions.

It's depentable, basic is good when it comes to navagation. The Cobra compass is difficult to use. The Cobra 2 computer is great (except the compass) and with the SK7 added it's all good, as it should be.

IMHO, this is the best UW compass made. My only complaint is that it is calibrated for Zone 1, which doesn't include Hawaii (where I live)....but I'm ok with a relative North, so it still gets 5 dive flags!

Sweet compass bolted easily onto my Sunnto cobra is big, easy to use, and not questionable like the electronic one. When in doubt keep it simple.........

This is a great compass, the needle sets very quickly and doesn't sway much. The tilt-range is also great.

However, despite Q&A's saying this fits on Cobra 2's, there are downsides. While the compass fits onto Cobra 2's just fine, I noticed strong interference between the SK7 and the Cobra2's internal compass. For example, when the SK7 is mounted, the Cobra 2 would always report North is in front (+/- 20 degrees).

Fortunately, the SK7 isn't as affected by the Cobra 2's compass, and still can be used reliably. It just negates the ability to set meaningful bookmarks on the Cobra.

One of the best compasses, especially with the +/- 30 deg tilt --- you can't beat that. Combine it with a DSS wrist mount, and you're all set!

Compass was stuck out of the box-had to give it a good smack to get it loose-I don't know if this is normal or not but it has worked great since-dove cold water with low vis last weekend & relied heavily on the compass-it did the job

Have not missed yet. It only took about 3 minutes to install on the end of the console and was a perfect fit. The SK7 works on the standard gauge consoles too (I like the computer on my wrist). It (actaully they - since my wife has one too) is a must have.
