I've done 11 dives with this computer during my recent trip to Egypt and have no complaints whatsoever. It delivers what it promises - it is reliable, hassle-free, gives you all the information a recreational diver may need. As a plus, it has user-replacable battery, which keeps maintenance costs down. I would find a use for a backlight, but still on one night dive I did I still managed to fairly easily read all the information off its screen by using a torch. By the way, the "Ask the pro" section on this web-site incorrectly states that there is no date information on the Aeris - the log book info is quite comprehensive (2 screens per dive) and includes dive date, start time, depth, duration, temperature, and more.
I had it shipped to Poland via UPS and delivery was suprisingly swift. The product was securely packed and arrived in intact condition.
I'm a relatively new diver and this is my first computer. I've done about 12 dives with it so far in Cozumel and lake diving in Oklahoma and it's worked great. It does everything I need it to do for me at this point in my dive training: give me a more liberal no-deco time than tables and log my dives for a couple days before I transfer them to my written dive log.
The Owners Manual is complicated.
It works as described. In this price range you can't go wrong. Basically a bottom timer that does multiple dives. What more do you need for a basic puter?

Computer worked great has problem with pressure gage taking on water inside. sent back to get fixed. Great for anyone starting out for open water diving to Divemaster. simple, easy to use and hard not to love.
Images shared by: Divemaster ToddHave over 30 dives with this computer. easy to read. Has basic info I need to dive safely.
product was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect shape.
I used this computer recently for my first dive. Funny thing was my buddy had a dive computer that cost three times as much and his didn't work where as mine worked fine. The only down side to the computer that I could find was that it doesn't have a back light so its hard to read on a night dive. One good feature I noticed is you can keep it on your wrist or you can pop it into your console depending on where you want to keep it.
Good simple computer for the price!!!!
Very Good product. I got the computer for my ten year old son. It is very easy to use and he quickly figured out the functions. Used it in Bonaire for a week of diving with no problems. Happily surprised with the quality for the price.
computer easy to work and has basic info you need for diving. pressue gage fills with water and temp. gage broken. sending unit back for pressure gage to be fixed. will recommend computer but, not the console with pressure gage
How you use the product
This is a great computer if you don't plan on using nitrox. It is VERY easy to use and keeps track of your last 10 dives, so it's easy to enter in your log book. If you're looking for a simple computer, this one is excellent for the price.
This computer is as simple as they get, which is perfect for me. I used it on my last two checkout dives to become certified and it worked perfect. Even the instructor I had said simple is better and commented that most people she knows NEVER use the extra bells and whistles on higher end computers. Add in the low cost and you have a great buy.
My second purchase form Leisure Pro. It won't be my last.
Right out of the box, it is simple to use. The instructions are clearly written and require little work to set the unit up.
it easy to use
You get what you pay. I bought this computer and ended up buying a better one. In my opinion, there are three functions that are important and are not included:
- Audible alarm
- Nitrox
- Computer connection
In addition, the computer cannot be turned off manually and you have to wait two hours before it turns off automatically, consuming more battery. It is also awfully big…
However, it is a good secondary computer or an entry level one.

This is a great first computer. A dive buddy bought one, then my husband and now I have one
Excellent little back up computer. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if something happens to my console computer during a dive, I still have this one and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.
This is a good basic dive computer for the entry level diver. Isn't the do all of dive computers, but for the price it is a solid piece of dive equipment.
Computer flooded the moment it was introduced to the water.
Other than a few quirks like not being able to turn it off when I want and a few confusing blinking displays while on land this Dive Computer does everything that is claimed and more.
The item description says it all. Just as Leisure Pro lists it.
Used mine on 5 dive trips. After first dive I bought one for my dive buddy brother who lives in Australia. After last dive bought one for my dive buddy girl friend.
WORKED GOOD EASY TO READ
for my first computer I thought it worked great.I felt safe using it.
Easy to set up and use. One reviewer commented on the band being too long. I mounted the AerisXR-1 in a US Divers hose mount that lets me see both my console gauges and the Aeris w/ one look. I noted that the Aeris seemed to read 3-5% greater depth than my analog guage...probably built in conservative fudge factor. Nice to have temp reading not mentioned in "Features".
Very satisfied.

This is a good basic computer to use as a back-up while diving. Pretty easy to use and its nice to have insurance so you don't have to cut a dive short if something happens to the primary computer.
Very easy to read and use. All the pertinent information is at your finger tips. For the price it can't be beat.
Wow!!!!!!What super fast delivery.Ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and had it in my hand on a Thursday afternoon in perfect condition.
Good basic computer that does everything but nitrox.
The Aeris XR-1 Wrist computer is just what I needed as an air diver. It's Large display provides the information I need to make diving safer and more enjoyable. I wish it did have a manual shut off to save the battery.
great product for the price!!

computer is good and definitely a good deal; and i have one on my gauge that works well. only problem is that the wrist band is more than 12" - way too large. you may need to cut or live with.
Good, simple computer thats laid out well, with large easy to read numbers.I am using as back up computer. The only thing missing is nitrox compatible, but for the price you can't beat it.

first computer for me. It was fairly easy to operate and i had no problems during a full week and 18 dives.

I bougt one..liked it enough to order a second.
Only thing I don't care for is that pressure gauge and computer are not on same side of consol
This is a great computer. I dive in Australia and it suits our extremes here - both hot and cold. Easy to use, clear display, accurate tables and measurements.
The only gripe is that I would have to sell to go to nitrox.
I had my item delivered to Australia and UPS were great. I think it took 7 days to reach me from NYC, and the postage history was like reading a passport! NYC, NJ, TX, HI, then Australia!
Thanks for prompt delivery and great communication!

Like many aging divers, I need a large display or at least larger numbers to make up for my diminishing eyesight. In the price range, this turned out to be one of the better computers, not perfect but pretty good size numbers.
Dispay shows "Time Left at Depth" instead of "Bottom Time" like my old computers and will take some getting used to.If I could re-design the consul,I would put the two gauges on the same side (for easier viewing) and the compass on the back.If you don't dive nitrox, buy this computer!

A great basic dive computer. I needed an inexpensive computer for an impromtu trip and chose this. I have since used it for at least 20 dives and it has served its purpose far beyond its price point. There are no frills but it has every vital bit of information that I have need of.
Ordered last minute, 2 days prior to my trip to Kona, HI. It was a gamble but I left for Kona with it in hand.
A little on the bulky side, but not a big deal. Easy to read; easy to find the info I'm looking for. I don't care for the log mode, as it starts at the most recent dive (this may be typical) and goes backward. I'd prefer it to start at the first dive of the day and move forward in order to make logging more effecient. Again, not a big deal. Good computer for the price.

It's a good, reliable basic computer that will allow you to make multilevel and deep dives safely and efficiently. I bought it because I just wanted something basic that would let me make deep dives and stay underwater longer while knowing my nitrogen loading. The computer is easy to operate and read underwater. Can't beat the price. I've used it on 6 dives in Florida, so far
Prompt delivery when they're open to process the order (too bad they don't have anyone working over Jewish holidays).
Gear I buy from LeisurePro always comes well packed and in immaculate condition.
Haven't had to use the customer service yet, but I'm not too worried. LeisurePro has a pretty good return policy in wrting.
Good Value. Functional dive computer at a simple gauge cost. Increase bottom time safely.
This is my first Dive computer. Had no problems using it after spending 15 minutes reading the manual.
This is a good product, it is easy to read underwater, very easy to use, extremely easy to recall information, and even better at providing all that you need on one console for a good price. I would give this product a 5 rating, but the only reason I didn't was because it has no audible alarm system. That alone would be the only thing that could make this product better.
This computer gives all the necessary information and is easy to use with a little understanding of its functions.
This is a good basic all around dive computer, simple and easy to read, I bought it for my son as his "entry" level computer. No issues or problems with it, just works every time we use it.

Not as simple to use as I had hoped for

This is a good value-price dive computer for use as either a primary or for backup. It is simple and gives important information. This is a great first computer for someone easily confused by too much technology and functions.
This product is perfect for the average recreational diver. Easy to read and recall information. I have had mine in the water about 30 dives so far, and really like the ability to recall info after my final dive.
I got this last year and love it, no more charts. It is easy to operate one button and once you know what all the symbols mean it gives you all the info you need. It’s not the Cadillac of computers but for your first one it hits the spot. The only complaint is it will stay wet in the holder so you have to take it out to dry(turn off) Air only.
This is a great first time computer, it is easy to learn.
After 500+ dives, it's my first computer, but I have no reason to try another one; it does everything I need.
It's extremely easy to use with it's single button. It tells me everything I want to know at a glance and it's easy to review my past dives. The only negative is there's no backlight, that would have been a nice feature. Overall, great value for the price I paid (just under 200)
Currently using as a backup computer. Would definitely use as primary if needed. Provides all basic functions needed in an easy to understand display.
I bought this computer because I don't use Nitrox and didn't need that functionality. I have another Aeris computer that lasted 9 years so I was confident that the XR1 would last a while. It is very easy to use and read. I had no trouble setting the date and time. It is also very easy to go back and review your dives. I like the display during the dive, only the informaiton that I really need. I highly recommend it if you are not going to dive Nitrox there is no better value out there.
Was looking for a computer that wouldn't bust my wallet. I was hesitant to purchase ea non-nitrox computer but for $150, how could I go wrong. It has a very simple design, and is practically fully automated. Log book stores lowest temp and max depth and lots more. I highly recommend this dive computer. It is great to have on your wrist in addition to a console with analogue gauges. I dive in Southern California and do mostly beach diving with some boat diving. This computer is awesome. It is high quality and through the site, you can still get your warranty. Aeris is a respectable dive company and You cannot go wrong with this computer for the price.
The computer works but it is hard to figure out. The directons are ok but I used my buddies top brand computer and it was so easy to use. This computer tells you eveything you need so you wont die but it is hard to get to what you need to read. It has a lotof bar graphs for your DECO and your acenet and decent rate.
