These are excellent fins that provide a lot of thrust but require a higher fitness level from the diver. They are more compact than many fins on the market today, many of which tend to be much longer. I find I get superior position and attitude control with these fins than others I've tried. Get some practice swimming with them before going on a big dive trip, because they do require strong muscles!

I'm pretty much going to echo most of the other revers' sentiments: if you're going to buy a set of fins, get these. Super comfy, compact (they fit anywhere, and people won't be tripping over your fins on the dive boat), and with enough power to propel you through the water like a Polaris missle - very handy for dealing with the strong currents here in the Northeast. I've heard talk that they're not very flutter-kick friendly because of their stiffness, but they worked really well with both flutter and frog kicks. Bottom line: there's a reason these fins are favored by military divers, and that's because they rock.
One thing: the sizing seems off. I wear a size 7 7mm Instadry boot, but the medium fin didn't fit - I had to swap it for a large.

I am a certified scuba diver, but because my wife does not dive, I just snorkel most of the time. These fins give me excelent propulsion when needed. I like the stiffness that some other reviewers seem to dislike about these fins.

These fins really get you moving in the water. My first pair of fins were ScubaPro twin jets and although I really liked them I found that I really liked to frog kick in the water, which split fins are not very efficient at. My jets really move me through the water now when I frog kick and I really appreciate their rugged, durable construction. The military and almost every single tech diver on the planet can't be wrong!!!!!! try them you will love them.

I'm on my 2nd set. I always carry them in my bag, just love them. However, a warning for those new to the sport. Some cramping might be experienced due to the extra effort required. Most notably, if wondered a bit further than anticipaped, and under surge conditions the kicking back portion of the dive could not be as pleasant. I've seen this happen more than once. So, as always, don't push beyond your abilities.

These are the first pair of fins that I have used. They work really well, are very durable, and as the other reviews say, they propel you far and are good against current. However, the sizing is a little small and they are narrow fins so if you have wide feet, as I do, your feet start to cramp if you buy too small. So if you buy these, buy big, other than that they are a great product.

Great fins, awesome power and fantastic classic design.
One thing to note, is that the sizes are a bit wack. I have a size 14 shoe, and bought a XXL pair of fins. I have a friend who has a size 10 shoe, and bought a XL pair of fins. The size difference between the 2 is ridiculous.
Mine fit perfectly with a size 14 boot on, however my friends fins were far far too small for him. He needs to buy the XXL's and get a chunkier boot to make best use of the fin. If using a dry suit with rock boots, then go with the XXL pair, unless of course u have a very small foot. I would suggest the XL to be closer to a size 8 or 9 with a boot on.
Also, the spring straps from scubapro are very good with this fin. With the spring straps, I'd suggest that this is a fin you could almost use for life.

This classic fin works as advertised. It gives plenty of power when flutter kicking and works superbly a frog kick. The weight helps keep the feet down in a drysuit.
