Comments about JBL Jbl Esclapez Freediving Full Foot Fins:
Review is for the full-foot green blade fin:
Recreational free diving use. I have a thin foot (top to bottom), and pocket fits great for me. Issue: like another review, the ribs crack easily. I did get about 30 dives out of this fin, but within the first 5 the stress lines showed up in front of the foot pocket. finally broke while kicking to the surface (no bottom touch). Love the fin for surface and shallow dives, hate the expense for poor durability. (NOTE: I have the black bladed fin also, good for deeper diving. Still has the stress lines after very few dives, on their way to breaking?

Company will not stand behind their product. I used my fins only 12 times, cleaned them thoroughly and well after every use and maintained them in dry air-conditioned storage. No degradation. But the web reinforcements crack/split transversely from bad design. I called JBL and told them about the probelm, but and they said they don't warranty them, and neither will the manufacturer Esclapez. My suggestion, don't buy bad stuff. If you figure my cost versus use, I paid [$]. per dive to use these fins!

[...] I do not know if it is the same company. They are manufactured in France. That's fine. They seem durable though I haven't had a chance to check them out...too busy. The only reason I haven't given them the 5 flags is because I'm not sure if it's the same company. They look alright and fit well. I just hate the whole internet return hassle so I'll keep 'em.
