Brand: Genesis
Located in: Essential Equipment, Fins
The original design of the composite fin is still one of the best designed fins to date. The Genesis Aqua-Flex Fin uses plastic and rubber to maximize thrust and lower fatigue. Blade of Aqua-Flex will bow across the fin to focus the thrust of the water movement directly behind the diver increasing the distance of glide and decreasing the effort to gain it. Fin is equipped with a easily adjustable strap with patented quick release buckles.

Comments about Genesis Genesis Aquaflex Open Heel Fins:

As best as I can tell, these are likley re-branded Mares fins. Arguably the most bang for the buck you'll ever see in a pair of fins!

Comments about Genesis Genesis Aquaflex Open Heel Fins:

I am a recreational diver and these were my first set of fins. They are reasonable durable, but are stiff and heavy. I did not realize how inefficient they are until I took a recent group trip to the Caribbean where I tried several other pairs of fins - what a difference. These were by far the least efficient. I expected small differences, but this was major. I would recommend the Aeris Velocity for a pair of fins that are a similar price (in my local dive shop) and use about 1/4th the effort to go the same speed.

Comments about Genesis Genesis Aquaflex Open Heel Fins:

Well I have not found anything superb about the Genesis Aquaflex Open Heel Fins. They do everything they are supposed to, probably better for scuba as they work well for longer distances. But overall a good pair of fins.
