They are excellent for all recreational swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and body boarding swimmer. I am impressed with the feel, and durability of this product. It's well worth the investment. Don't forget to purchase ties as a preventative measure for your fins since they do not float on water.

I have used these fins 3-4 times per week for 8 years and love them. Once you learn how to use them they work great. I have raced Dive Masters who said they didn't work and easily outpaced them. All that and they very comfortable, you'll feel like nothing is on you feet.

My first Open Water class I developed shin splints which have plagued me throughout my life. I was using a set of Mares Fins (Blade type). Somehow I survived the open water certification with those fins but was not happy. One day, I was talking to a salesman at the Dive Shop about my problem and he suggested the Force Fin. OH! Did they look FUNNY!!! He also suggested that I get the bungee cords to replace the strap that the fins come with.
This was May 1997. 260 dives later- Advanced Course, Rescue Course, DiveMaster Course, Tahiti, Hawaii, Cozumel, Roatan, California, Sea of Cortez, Costa Rica, Belize--- and heading to Florida- I still have the same pair!
Have never considered anything else. I'm on my third BCD; second or third regulator; but still the same fins.
Might have to replace the bungees though since they sometimes slip and don't quite have the same resiliency they once had.

I purchased these fins because my legs are weak (long story) and my next holiday was going to take in a lot of shore diving and finning.
These fins suited me perfectly, easy to fin, plenty of momentum without too much effort.
BIG plus is they are short. Less chance of reef damage. Easier for navigation inside a wreck (Coolidge) is an absolute bonus.
On top of that, they come in hot pink, I bought my gf a pair as well and she loves them.
One fin, two fin.....

This is my second pair replacing a cracked fin after more than 1000 dives. Both my wife and I swear by them. The stock straps are really the only drawback to them and I can't understand why they still use them. I've made my own design bungee straps and love it. You can buy them but they're pricey for what they are. Excellent for traveling due to smaller size.

I OWNED A DIVE SHOP, IN THE 70-EARLY 80S. I TESTED AND PURCHASED THE ORIGINAL FORCE FINS. WHILE WORKING AS A DIVE MASTER, IN GRAND CAYMAN IS., THE FORCE FIN WAS THE ONLY BRAND WE WOULD LET DIVERS WEAR, WHILE ON THE DIVE BOAT, AS THEY WERE ABLE TO SAFELY WALK FORWARD WITH IT. MY ORIGINAL PAIR IS STILL IN GREAT SHAPE AND HAS BEEN RETIRED FROM DAILY POOL SWIMMING AS I FIND THE NEWER MODEL LIGHTER AND JUST AS EFFICIENT. THIS IS A FIN THAT WILL LAST THROUGH THE ABUSES OF SUN,SALT & CHLORINE AND STILL DELIVER COMFORT & PERFORMANCE.

The fins are so wide that legs must go into an unnatural kicking motion to keep fins from hitting one another.

I've used force fins for over 20years. They don't wear out. Better than Zoomers for pool workout if you have wide feet. Ok for body surfing and snorkeling. I found them too flexible for SCUBA, not enough umph.

Easy to pack. Easy to get on and off. Their unique kicking style won't overwork muscles (even well-conditioned muscles like mine) that only experience one dive trip a year. I can stay out for two hours and cover great distances without tiring or cramping. They don't splash the surface if used properly. I have used mine for about twelve years. Wouldn't have anything else.

For use without booties get the Comfort Instep #FRFCI. I prefer the rubber strap to the bungee heel strap sold as an accessory.
I have used the same set of fins for 20 years and fall in love with them each time I use them. I have tried all kinds of fins (split, vented, etc), but keep comming back to these as the most comfortable, efficient, fast, and manuverable.

To be honest, I liked the fins at first. They were great. and to be honest, If your a beginner and dont dive that much, they would be perfect for you and I would recamend them to you. But, If you dive alot like I do, DON'T!!!! I have had more knee prob. from these fins then you can belive. After 8 days of three dives a day w/ these fins, I tried my friends Jets, and they were an improvment on my knees. So, if your a beginner, Get em, If your a big diver, Don't.
