Pluma is an extraordinary fin that makes the most of molding technology previously used only on the Cressi hi-tech models designed specifically for free diving and scuba diving. The Pluma uses the same Cressi patented construction system of molding three different materials to give high performance, extreme lightness, easy fining, and comfort.

The blade is made from light and reactive polypropylene. The blade is very energetic and has snappy rebound. Two side supporting grooves and ribbing on thebottom of the blade allow progressive and controlled bending. The result is powerful, fluid and untiring kick.

The foot pocket extends along the bottom of the blade to give protection during fining even in shallow water and near rocks. The foot pocket is made from soft thermo-rubber and the computer-designed shape offers great comfort as well as making the fins suitable for long use. The entire sole is made hard and comes with large non-slip inserts, for total protection of the foot and for excellent transmission of the leg-fin effort.

I order these fins based on a number of comments to use for snorkeling and free diving. As has been commented in several of the other reviews drop down one shoe size for the proper fit. I wear a mens 10.5 shoe and ordered the 8.5 to 9.5 size and they fit perfectly. For traveling the fins are light weight, yet very responsive in the water. I have been diving and snorkeling through out the Caribbean for over thirty years and have owned fins by several major manufacturers I would say that Pluma is one of best fitting fins that I have owned.

A great low cost fin that nice a light for travel.
They are a fairly generous fit though.. a tad wide...though they don't come off or anything.
Seems the US sizing and the metric(Euro) are a little out of whack..i.e. 8 1/2 - 9 1/2 is usually around a 42-43, not 43-44 as stated on the fin.. Nice fin all the same..just might be worth going a size smaller.

I recently bought these fins and used them 10 times before the hard plastic started to crack. If you are a rookie snorkeler than maybe get them but if you are a more advanced snorkeler/free diver go for better ones.

Ladies this runs 2 sizes larget than shoe size. Great all around for travel. Can be used for snorkling or diving and not too huge to pack. Leave the bandaids at home since no top toe cutout like most, no cuts or rubbing to worry about. And they are made in Italy. What more can I say.

I wear these with a 2mm fin sock for a nice snug fit, you can really enjoy their responsive power without any foot irritation. I like the feel of having the blade on top of your foot...makes more sense.
