The cressi Gara 3000 LD fins are a grate choice for amateur and advanced freedivers. I've used them on 3 freediving trips so far and the performance of these fins left me astonished. They are grate for strong currents and deep dives as well as for swimming out from the shore. They are very comfortable, although I recommend using the with a 3mm neoprene sock for better comfort and secure fit. Bottom line… they are the best fins I own.

I bought these fins about 3 weeks ago and already I've used them in 3 freediving trips and the Cressi Gara 3000 LD worked like a charm against currents, for swimming out from the beach and to geave you the confidence to go deeper and stay under longer… In a nut shell, they are comfortable, easy to get used to and a great deal for the price.. I recommend these fins for novice and advanced freedivers as well as Scuba… GREAT FINS….

I am very pleased with these fins. They beat my old split fins. There is no problem swimming into currents. BUY THESE FINS!
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I'm just getting into free diving and this is my first pair of long fins. It took a little while to get used to the stiffness and length of the fin. They are light, powerful and they make you fly through the water! They also greatly increased the length of my dive times.

This is my third pair of fins, but my first for free diving. Great fins overall, nice trust, not too stiff so easier on legs. Opted for slightly bigger pocket to accommodate a 3mm neoprene sock.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Don't get me wrong, these fins are awesome. They are a great entry to intermediate level free diving fin and are very durable. In my situation, i wear a size 11.5 shoe. I bought a size 10-11 because even with a 3mm boot, the 11-12 would fall right off. The 10-11's fit good when tried on, but when taken into the water SQUEEZE the sides of my feet midway through my dive. If you have wide feet, stay away.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
although these are pretty amazing fins, they aren't for those with weak legs. and just for added comfort i recommend socks, neoprene or regular ol socks doesn't really matter.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
A great fin for freediving and spearfishing, very flexible and lightweight.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I knew going in that the fin was 1/2 to 1 size larger and for a narrow foot. They fit and feel great and are much more efficient than SCUBA fins if you're going snorkeling.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I love to freedive and spearfish. These fins have opened my eyes to a whole new world under water. I didn't think they were necessary until I bought them. I wouldn't go without them now!

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I've owned just about every type of fin from blades to split-fin, and these fins really out-perform the others in every area. Of course they are great for freediving, but are the fastest fins SCUBA diving for fun, lobstering, spearfishing, and are the best available in currents. I spearfish every other Friday with a group of guys that will only use this fin. Don't waste your money buying anything else. These cost way less than most dive fins, but nothing else will touch them. I also suffer from frequent leg cramps and these seem to require very little effort and strain compared to other fins. These are full foot, so if you buy them just a hair big you can buy some neoprene socks for warmth/comfort. Most boots will not fit. Beware: many socks have no grip on the bottom and are as slick as ice when walking on/ boarding your dive boat. I'm not a big Cressi fanatic, but these are excellent fins. Note: Keep these fins secure in your boat. They are large (but light) and have a tendancy to fly off very easily.

VERY FLEXIBLE BLADES..WORTH THE MONEY. I WAS USED TO FREEDIVING DOWN TO 30 FEET. NOW WIH THESE FINS I GET DOWN TO 60 FT. NO PROBLEM!!!
THERE ARE NO STRESS POINTS ON YOUR ANKLES WITH THE GARA 3000...(BOTTOM LINE)BEST OF THE BEST...

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great freediving fin for depths to 50 fsw. I feel a stiffer blade would be better for depths of 50-100 fsw. Great fin for snorkeling if you like to get down to 20-30 fsw for a better look. Very comfortable foot pocket. I bought a size smaller because I don't wear booties and want a snug fit (I live in SW Florida)
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I use these primarily for freediving, although I also use them for scuba too. They are great; very efficient fins; super comfortable and look great. Only negative comment is that the foot pocket can be a little stiffer, which would help in an even more efficient kick. I highly recommend them for the price you can't go wrong.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
A friend of mine returned from a recent dive trip showing off a new set of these fins. Imagine my surprise when I found them here for almost half the price he paid for them! These fins are flexable, powerful, and light. They fit very nice and I had absolutely no complaints after my first dive with them. Better hurry on this deal.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I’m an amateur diver, but a solid swimmer. These fins are great for all skill levels, but if you get over zealous, you could cramp up because they are definitely huge if you’re not used to fins this size. On my most recent trip, I used them for snorkeling, freediving, and SCUBA, and they were awesome! If you snorkel mainly on the surface, they are probably not for you (smaller, more flexibility, and a split fin might be better.) But if you like to dive down, they will get you to where you want to go – and fast. If there could be any other Con: rest assured, they won’t fit in your cary-on.

Excellent propulsion and very comfortable fin.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great fin, very good price and deliver alot of performance! I have been using them for 6 months and havent had a problem yet. Only true con I can see with them if how easy they are to scuff up. if your going be diving around alot of corral or any kind of sharp edges material they will scratch and scuff up quickly. But this does not effect anything.
I have used these fins on long scuba dives with jack up LP 120 tanks. also used them freediving in 50ft. cant get any better...
I will deffinatly buy another set when these fall apart.

Spearfishing 45 years... first designed for freediving fin I've used. Like moving from a department store 10 speed, to a custom built touring bike.

Very confortable. Smooth and pretty eficient. Good for snorkeling or scuba.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
More flexible than the 2000, but still very efficient. Excellent and durable all around long blade that is sufficient for 70' freedives or spearfishing with single tanks. Footpocket is very comfortable and feels true to size when worn with a 1.5-3mil fin sock.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I have owned these fins for over a year now and i love them. They feel great no cramps they are flexible I would recomend these fins to anybody i spearfish all the time.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I'VE BEEN PRACTICING FREE DIVING AND SPEER FISHING FOR SO MANY YEAR IN THE GULF OF MEXICO, I THINK THIS PRODUCT IS AWSON, BUT A LITTLE BIT NARROW FOR MY FOOT, IF YOU HAVE TO SWIM FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME IT EXHAUSTS YOU, BUT HUNTING IN THE OIL RIGS WE JUST GO DOWN-UP AND THE GARA 3000 LD IS NOT COMPARABLE WITH OTHERS.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great beginner / intermediate freediving fins. You'll need lightweight sock not a boot with these fins. They will wear you out swiming on the surface, probably not great snorkeling fins.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great freediving fin. Flexible blade with a comfrotable footpocket.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I bought these after diving in some serious current on a wreck dive where my normal fins weren't doing the trick. My dive buddy had these fins and he easily propelled himself and me to an anchor line when my fins were barely moving me against the current.
I've had a pair now for a month and they work great. You can go 2 or 3 times faster with the same effort. I use them for lobtsering (snorkeling), recreation diving, and wreck dives when there is a lot of current.
If I'm going to be inside a wreck with alot of silt and there is no current, I opt for my normal fins, but during any other dive I go with the Cressi-subs.
Most of the avid freedivers, lobster divers, spearfisherman, and scubadivers in my area (Florida Keys) use these and they all recommend them.
Bottom line, excellent fins that are comfortable and can propel you as fast as you want to go.

I loved it. Exelent fins. Great speed above and at the water level. I love so much that I'm looking to get pair to use with dry suit.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I have been using these fins religously in the lake in my hometown and they have taken a beating. Because iam poor and can't afford a boat I need to enter at the shore and fin out to the good spots. My shore is nothing but rocks that are also infested with zebra mussels. my fins are scratched beyond all recognition and dented from tip to tail. despite the abuse i have put them through they still perform as the day i took them out of the bag. I have been telling my wife i was going to get some brand new expensive Omer fins but i am sure i will purchase another pair of these. My wife, my brother, my father allwant a pair so this year christmas shopping will be easy.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I've worn these for a few months now. My foot is about a size 10-10.5, and I went with the fins in the 8-9 size, as I like to dive without booties. Even this is a little lose... I could probably slip in with some 1 mm socks.
The fins are great. I might be tempted to try something with less flexibility in the future. I spend hours in the water at a time, and these work for long traverses as well as up and down.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great fins for the great price and good product.
Good beginner fin or speer fin.
I'm 6'4" 285 and they work great for me.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I really like these fins! Diving deep and coming back up in a hurry is fairly easy with these fins. Others may disagree, but I like them and think they are great for spearfishing. I would definitely try them on prior to purchase.
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
smooth transaction. I tried the 2000 model before buying for feel and sizing. Same molds/

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Most people who wear these fins, wear them for the wrong reasons. These are free diving fins and proper free diving technique involves long, full, complete kicks using the whole leg and not solely the lower half of the leg. Less frequent but more complete, whole leg, powerful kicks are what free diving fins should be used for.
If you know how to free dive, these are the fins you want. Note that they say for "experienced free divers" in the description. World champion free diver Umberto Pelizzari used a Cressi model similar to these in his 80M world record constant weight free dive back in 2001 (these were not out yet).
I've used these free diving and they are incredible, propelling me to incredible depths at a fast and steady speed. I've also used them in WARM water places like Cozumel where I know there will be strong currents. I swam 70 yards AGAINST a 1-1.5 knot current to catch up to a sea turtle and snap a picture. It came out awesome.
If you find these uncomfortable, you've likely got the wrong size. And as with ANY full foot fin, consider a fin strap, it helps with power and comfort. And if you find that they are breaking over the arch, they are too small, go a size bigger and DEFINITELY use a fin strap to keep your foot stable, transferring more power to the blade.

great until they break, second fins the same
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
i do a lot of freediving. if you want a low cost good quality fin the gara 3000 is a good way to go. the only draw back is they only work well with slow steady kiks, if you want to swim faster they are less efficient. their durability is good so far but ive only used them a couple of months. a good recreational fin id say, if you want to go deep a monofin is the only way to go.
happy diving
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
I have always liked Cressi sub products because they are moderately priced, well designed, and take a beating. These fins work best for a smaller person with limited kicking power. I am 5'8" 150lbs. and often travel long distances on the surface. These fins won't cramp you up or tire you out. They also won't rocket you up or down. I think that they are a great value for the price
Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Gara 3000 LD Full Foot Fins, Grey:
Great beginner fin, would want to upgrade to some with interchangable foot pockets later on, probably omers. Great for the price.
