I bought this based on a combination of price and reviews submitted to LeisurePro. While not the best or most fancy, I think this procuct is a good intersection of price and quality.

I frequently feel the two sides of the "split" fin hitting / rubbing together. Not that big of a deal, but I work hard to be conscious that I'm not coming into contact with the reef. These fins force me to constantly stop, thinking I've kicked the reef. Looking back, it's just the fins hitting together.

FIns work fine, but are way to distracting for me. Going back to a blade.

First of all, let me say that I'm a diehard paddle fin person. I bought a set of these for my wife so that they would be easier on her legs and ankles. Just to see the difference I went to a pool, squeezed into her fins, took a deep breath, and swam the length of the pool underwater. 20 seconds. I did this several times. It felt like I wasn't even wearing fins but I could really feel the water flowing over my shoulders. Every time around 20 seconds. Just to have a laugh, I put on my big, stiff, paddle fins, and did the same test. 24 - 25 seconds. Yikes!! How could that be. I tried a couple more times and couldn't get close to the split fins times. Plus, I was exhausted from kicking the paddle fins and having trouble going the length on a single breath. I crammed my wife's fins back on and no hassle, no effort turned in 20 seconds again.

Did I mention that the fins I'm now rating are just like my wife's but in my size. I'm converted to these fins!! By the way, when these fins arrived, I still couldn't believe my tests so I did it again with this fins. Same results. Doesn't even feel like you have fins on, but as someone said, "your snorkel will bend."

I've been a certified diver since early '80's, spent 10hours/day in the water as a marine biologist in the early 90's, and currently dive both recreationally and as a certified Police Diver. And I don't think I have EVER been comfortable in any set of fins, either open healed or footies, until I put on these...

These are hands down the most comfortable, easy wearing fins I've ever had. I recently battled blisters with my old fins, and based on the review here purchased these fins, along with the thin socks.

One of the best dive-gear purchases I've made!

I have wide 8 1/2 feet. and I should not have bought this in size 7 1/2 - 8 1/2 without trying on - way too narrow and tight all-around.

I may purchase the next size up to try - just because I like Atomic products.

I wear a men's 7 1/2 shoe and bought the 7 1/2-8 1/2 size. Fit perfectly. I do no cold water diving and the closed heel was a bargain. Quite happy.

I just used these on 10 dives over 4 days in Thailand. I travel frequently and purchased a set of these because they are easy to pack and travel width. I travel primarily to warm-water locations so a full foot fin is perfect when traveling. These performed well. The only issue I had is when kicking hard, the full foot offers no support due to the lack of hard plastic. This would be a problem with all full foot fins. Nice easy kicks work best. These also work well for snorkeling and can be thrown in a small bag with a mask and snorkel. I definitely wouldn't use these every day but for light traveling, they can't be beat.

Fantastic design; I used "efficient" above because it makes the who expereince better in that you can save your energy on order to havea longer dive. Sizing was right on for me. I do not need "booties" since I dive in warm water but I woul suggest a 1/2 to a full size larger if you need to wear them (depends on how thick your booties are).

My wife and I first bought these after reading a very favorable review several years ago. Among other things the review said "they're so fast they'll make your snorkel bend." That's been our experience, our snorkels literally bend. We've since bought them for all our children as well. We use them for snorkeling as well as scuba diving in tropical climates. They're a bit pricier than many, but in our opinion worth every penny.

One caveat. I'm a size 11 shoe so I bought the large. The fit was quite snug and as a result I would get blisters. However, my wife never got a single blister. We compared fit one day and realized hers looked somewhat "loose" yet they stayed on very well. I ordered a pair of X-Large and have been blister free ever since.

I loved these fins so much I bought my parents a set for Christmas. They have been diving for thirty years and both said it's by far the best fin they have ever used.

I have only used for snorkeling in the Carabian.
Light, fast, manuverable.
The first size orderd (my actual size) were to narrow, returned for larger size.

I highly recommend these fins for use in snorkeling. They propel you through the water without much effort and make snorkeling very enjoyable.
