A nice quality made fin, with quick release straps too. I found I cramped up a lot due to the fin being designed for s stronger leg than mine.

So if you are big and strong, it's a great fin. I switched to Apollo Bio "Split" Fins...much better for me..though they weigh a tone if travelling..

I like these fins over the old blades as they are easier to remove in the water prior to getting on a boat ladder. Slightly lighter weight, but probably not significant to most divers.

Okay so I've only had the Aqualung Caravelle closed heel before these fins. So to compare these fins produce much more push for each leg stroke. However I often get cramps using these fins because they are more rigid and heavy. So on one hand I like moving along faster in the water, but I don't like getting cramps after swimming an hour in the water.

My ongoing dislike is that seaweed constantly gets stuck between the foot strap and your foot. I haven't drowned yet, but it get's annoying untangling seaweed from your fin whenever you pass over a clump of weeds.

I believe there has to be better fins out there. But for a scuba fin. These fins are very nice. They are durable, the foot pockets work like a charm, and if you have strong feet you will move pretty fast.

Cons = cramping, a little to rigid of a fin, and seaweed sticking to foot strap.

Pros = durable, nice foot pockets, clips work like a charm (easy in easy out), a good overall fin (just not an amazing fin)

I have the Carvelle model and my wife had this model. We do lots of shore diving, My Carvelles got beaten up fast , her's have min scratches and look like new, I noticed swimming behind her the flex is fantastic.The carvelles are much harder and tend to arc from being in my dive bag. I ordered them just the other day and can't wait to use them. Plus for [$] you cannot beat the price. Most comparable ones are $75 and up.

I really like these fins. They are comfortable and they really get you through the water. Just a couple of kicks and I make some good ground...or water? Anyway, I definately recommend them. The only thing negative that I have noticed is that one of my straps sometimes pops off at the knob it is mounted on after I toss it in the boat after a dive. It is easy to pop back on, but I am afraid that I might loose it if it continues to do so. One other good thing to mention. I really like the quick release button that breaks the strap in two. It makes it easier and faster to take off the fins in the water before climbing up the boat ladder. Get a pair. You will be happy you did.

The best feature of this fins are the easy Aqua Lung exclusive Hands-Free Fin Release Strap for quick removal with a kick of your heel. It provides a more comfortable and relaxed dive due to flexible material. Be careful and use only soft boots, it is my only complain because it feels to narrow. It works very good.
