I purchased these fins for my son and he did excellent with them. He was able to swim against a bottom current with ease. He was able to swim well and got the most out of his kickstrokes.

Have used these fins for almost four years now. They are as good as the day I got them. Have over 120 dives in both fresh and salt water. Only complaint is that you can get some serious leg cramps if you over do it with kicking. Other divers complain that I swim to fast. Mostly just do kick and glide, with not much effort required. If needed you can really move out. Careful though cramps await you. I am still using the original fin straps, and they show no sign of failing soon. Find them easy to put on and adjust, come off easy also. As with any fin the most important aspect I believe is matching the right boot with fin. I find these fins give more comfort with 5m boot then with a 7m boot. I like the blade type fin very much. good fin for all around use. The ladies might prefer a softer blade.

Accomodates boots, pretty stiff though, hard to get used to

Comments about Aqualung Deep See Pulse Open Heel Fins:
Some very thoughtful design went into these fins. The heel strap has just the right grip with a textured pattern that keeps it from slipping during use but not to the point of being difficult to remove. The size and shape of the buckles and strap make putting them on, adjusting and taking them off a breeze -- really handy when you're in a crowded boat. The size of the fin blade is just right for the design of the foot pocket. You get plenty of power and thrust for scuba diving with these, yet they are light enough to use for snorkeling as well. Make sure to get the size that works comfortably with the thickness of your wetsuit or drysuit boots. I found mine to be a little tight on the top of my foot when I purchased my regular size, but my feet are just a little different... ;-)

I used these for recreational snorkeling, they seems a bit stiff and long for me, but since I am new to the sport, it may have had to do with my technique. But overall I am glad I got them and happy with the purchase. They seemed to do a good job of propelling me.
Received the day after I ordered them. Great service.
