I read many reviews prior to purchase about how the Apollo fins are faster through the surf and reduces air consumption under water. I was amazed that it's true! I recommend these fins to anyone who will listen. They are worth the money and have a customer for life.
PS: If they're good enough for the Navy seals, they're good enough for me.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Well all my other fins worked fine as XL. With this product, couldnt get into the toe socket.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I purchased these fins about a week ago only to be disappointed when they arrived. I wear a size 12 boot and the XL would barely fit over my Sea Soft Stealth boots. The foot pocket seems quite narrow which was uncomfortable and made on and off a pain so I have to return them. The quality of these fins is still great and the straps are awesome just beware if u have big feet and order a size larger than normal if u have thick soled dive boots!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These are the perfect fins. As a kid I loved the cheap rubber flippers one could get anywhere. The propulsion they gave was great. When I started diving I hated the stiff paddle fins that were forced on me. Thanks to these I will never have to use those pontoons again. I took these to the Bahamas two weeks ago. They performed perfectly. The Stainless steel fin straps are well worth the extra cost. It was like being a kid again lol. Will never buy anything else at this point!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I have used these fins for years, only to lose one off the side of the dive boat. As soon as I got home, I ordered a new pair. Now I have three. The strap won't break, so now if I lose another... I'm covered. These are great fins & I've used many.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
What an amazing product! Definetely forget they are on when I'm diving, and my feet feel useless when I take these off at the end of a dive. These allow for EFFORTLESS movement that results in absolutely no muscle fatigue and very low air consumption, and WOW are they fast, easily leaving all the other divers behind. The spring straps are unbelievable, regardless of what brand fins you purchase, get them with spring straps! Two things to keep in mind with these: they are negatively buoyant, ie. don't be a careless idiot when donning/doffing and you won't have a problem. Personally, I appreciated dropping the two pounds off my belt when swapping to these, which also allowed for an improved balanced/trimmed weight profile. Second, advanced tech divers that depend on a multitude of kick patterns: these are not for you, nor are any current split fin designs. These will perform excellently on any drift dive or survival swim against a current; they do have a thrust limit when used for precise technical applications though. Also, yellow color is excellent for having that one piece of memorable gear for dive buddies to easily recognize; just as useful for students if you're their instructor/DM as well.
LPro has excellent service; delivered quickly and as stated. Thanks!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I have over 100 dive with these fins and would not use any other fins. Easy on and easy off. Great speed and very little effort. I have a bare for my DUI dry suit and I have a pair for warm water diving.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I have been an active SCUBA diver for over 32 years. These fins are hands down the best I have ever used.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins are incredible in how much faster you can move with the same effort as regular fins. I find that I use less air with heavy finning and so far no muscle cramping at all even in heavy current. The stainless spring straps are great. The fins are a little on the heavy side/negatively buoyant so be careful removing in the water.
Leisure Pro sent everything on time in perfect condition as promised.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Simply brilliant fins. Very easy to use, and do all that Apollo claim. Stainless strap is simply brilliant. If and when mine ever need replacing (a buddy has done a few thousand dives with his) I'll be back for more.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I could not tell much of a difference. My dive partner has notice that I have changed my style of kicking and he has told me to slow down on several dives. Easy to slip on and off with the springs. Will update at end of summer of 09.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins are very comfortable. Although they are a little heavy above the surface, once you get underwater, it feels as though you have nothing on. The spring straps make it very easy to quickly put on and take off these fins. Once you get the kick down, you will find yourself having to slow down for fellow divers in your group. I have 7 mm thick soled boots and these accommodate them very well without the squeeze commonly associated with other fins. I would definitely buy these again and I highly recommend these to other divers out there!!!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I feel confident against strong currents with these fins. I get where I wanna go. Will use these a long, long time!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
This is a very comfortable fin. The top of the foot pocket doesn't dig in to my foot like Scubapro's twin jets did. Call me crazy, but I liked the standard straps better than the spring straps which were too tight and couldn't be adjusted. Heavy buggers though. Not sure how happy I'll be lugging them in a backpack for snorkling. Should be awesome for diving though.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Try out fins before you buy them. It doesn't matter how much you spend on fins, if they don't fit, they won't work. If these fit, then buy them and make sure to get metal spring straps no matter what fin you end up with. I'll never dive again without spring straps.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
BOUGHT THESE FINS FOR MY DAUGHTER. THEY HAVE DECREASED HER AIR CONSUMPTION AND INCREASED HER BOTTOM TIME BY 10%. SHE SAYS THEY FEEL GREAT! NO RUBBING OR CHAFING. REALLY LIKES THE EASY ON/OFF FEATURES OF THE STAINLESS STRAP.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I was skeptical about using split fins at first, but decided to give these a try. Sure am glad I did! It takes less effort to swim and the spring straps are great. All of my friends who have tried them complain when they have to go back to their own fins! I also get lots of compliments on the white color.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These are great fins. Love the Yellow underwater. Little heavy, The spring straps are a must. I wear a size 10 shoe, got the Large, had to trade them for Med. The mediums feel much better. If you're a size 10 with really wide feet, the Larges would probably work for you.
I'm always impressed by this company, no problem trading my Larges for Mediums. They have the best customer service on the planet!

Helps on saving air
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Perfect fins for me. Surprisingly powerful. I couldn't tell how much until comparing myself to other divers who seemed to put out more effort to keep the same pace. These are not light fins, so probably not the best if you are watching travel weight, but I find the weight works well for bouncy control. Not cheap either, but worth the price to me.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
(This review is an update of an earlier one. Sorry to be so long winded but I have been able to try some other brands of "Natures Wing" split fins in the interim. I'm still 100% sold on my Apollos but others might find a different brand more to their liking.)I'll preface this by saying that the split fin technology used in these fins is licensed by Nature's Wing to Apollo, ScubaPro, Atomic, TUSA, Oceanic, Dacor, Sherwood, Beuchat and Genesis. Any of these manufacturers that claims to have a "secret" design that the other don't, is referring only to details such as materials, fin strap design, batten and rib design. The basic principles and operation of these fins is identical for all of them. Potentially each of these fins will work about the same for you. The key is to determine which manufacturer's products fits your foot and swimming style the best.My reasons for picking Apollo fins was simple: - They are 100% rubber and as such weigh about twice as much as most fins. They keep my legs down and help stop my tendency toward bicycling when I'm tired. I also was able to shed a few pounds from my BC and I'd rather have the weight on my feet than my waist while standing on a dive boat.- Being rubber they are VERY comfortable and feel like bedroom slippers.- Apollo gives you a choice of stiffness (see their website for recommendations on selection). Stiffer is NOT always the best choice. I chose an intermediate stiffness.- Price: The price for Apollos has tumbled about $45 recently to [$]Atomics are considerably more expensive.- I'm not convinced that for the average diver, a small change in rib or batten design means that much...sort of along the line of the average golfer paying $350 or $1200 for a putter. It might might a difference for Tiger Woods but not for me.- The option for factory installed spring straps. I've always installed these as an after market item on my fins. The factory installed Apollo straps are literally bonded into the fin. If you go for a regular adjustable fin strap the Atomic strap is about the best I've ever seen, but once you've tried spring straps you'll never go back.Next, you must change your kick style to use any split fin effectively. You need a high frequency, low amplitude kick that stays within the slipstream of your body and tank. At first the decreased effort will make you feel as if your not going to be going very fast but you'll soon realize that increased effort with your old slab fins doesn't always mean more speed. The first time I used them I was able to keep up with my old instructor and his ScubaPro splits w/o any problem for the first time. For short all-out sprints, you feel as if you're flying over the reef. I also found that my air consumption and fatigue decreased, while my speed and comfort increased with split fins. Remember, don't get pre-sold on any one brand before trying them on. I love my Apollos and wouldn't give you 2 cents for my dive buddy's Atomics, but she feels the same way about her Atomics and my Apollos. Finally, by their very nature split fins are a bit less maneuverable than slab sided fins. However the different kick style means that you disturb the bottom a lot less so I personally fell that it's an excellent trade off.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I had problems with my old Sherwood Kinesis fins. On the surface they were out of the water half of the time. I also tend to bicycle a bit underwater and that shoots my air consumption way up.
My instructor uses ScubaPro split fins, but he suggested Apollo's Bio-Fins as they were heavier and felt they would stay under water better on surface swims as well as fit my kick style better.
You do have to adjust to a lower amplitude higher frequency kick rate to take full advantage of these fins. You keep your kick stroke within the width of your body. When I did, I was swimming 50% faster with the same effort. When I open up for short sprints, you feel like you're flying over the reef. The fins themselves are very soft and comfortable. I feel like I'm wearing bedroom slippers.
The fins are solid rubber and are twice as heavy as most fins. For me this was a real advantage. I needed a bit more weight in my feet and was able to remove a corresponding amount from my BCD. Personally, I find it easier to have a lighter BCD and heavier fins on a dive boat. If weight in the lower extremities is a problem, you might want to look at a fin like the Atomic or ScubaPro's split fin which are a similar design but lighter in weight.
One other minor point, split fins by their design are a bit less maneuverable than slab fins but as a trade off, I found that I tended to stir up the bottom a lot less.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Went to Caribbean for 50th birthday, and since I am older and more "robust" I wanted fins that would save air and help me out more than my old jet fins. Wow. Used them 10 days, about 4 hours/day snorkeling and diving. Steal straps made them easy to put on. Gliding was effortless. My 17-year old son with viper blade fins asked me to slow down. His were better for bursts maybe, but mine were better all around for me. Could flutter kick and frog kick easily (avoided long scissors kicks). I used less air than most on the dive boats. The jet fins are put away forever.

Without a doubt, these are the best fins I've used in the past 28 years of professional diving.
They are my second pair, the origionals having rubber straps. These have stainless steel spring straps, so no more broken straps. Still have origionals as a back-up!

Best Fins Ever.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins are amazing, I wore these to a rescue pool session, and about ten fellow divers tried them on and regretted taking them off. The spring straps are easy to use, and the bright white color is great in low vis. These fins are heavy, but I think that helps with trim

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I bought these for a friend, and had not really considered them for myself, but when I tried them out before I gave them to him ... I almost kept them for myself. The most comfortable fin I have dove with. They offer very precise and natural movement ... I will be ordering a pair for myself this time.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
This is a great product. I had in the past a lot of pain when fining with traditional fins. These have made my life much better.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I used these fins on a dive trip in the Philippines and after a week of hard diving, no sore spots on my feet. Easy to put on and take off. They look great and everyone on the boat wanted a pair.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
a very well made fin that should last for years. the stainless straps are well worth the extra money
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Bought these right before a dive trip to the Central coast of CA. We dove in rough surf and the ease of putting these things on can not be over stated! When a 5-6ft wave is getting ready to beach you you'll be glad it takes less than 5sec to put these on. I put them to the test with a 500 yard swim out and back through rough surf... never cramped up. My only reservation is that the boot pocket is really wide and so proper sizing is a must.
You will not be disappointed-
Speedy! Thanks ;-)
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins feel like you are kicking boots only. I can't even feel them, but I know their on because I glide through the water with great speed and no effort. Saves air and cures that bicycle kick. These fins rival all split fins out there including sherwoods. No non split fin even comes close in my book. All my friends that try them say the same thing, "Where can I get a pair!" Highly recommend them, You Won't Be Disappointed!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I am really impressed with these fins. They are everything that is advertised, the best yet in 30 years of diving.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I never dreamed I would tell someone I loved my fins! A huge shoe fan. Girl that I am. But I do love these fins! I have them in white and they make me smile whenever I strap them on!! I move faster, and they come off easily when climbing back on the boat in the waves. Seriously durable, and and even nice to look at!!!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Exactly what I expected - and look forward to putting them to use!
Easy order process, fast shipping - very satisfied!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
It is great to know that with a minimum effort I cant always be in front of the pack,
I advise using the kick recommended by Apollo because a regular fin kick even in heavy current is not desirable.
I used to get a lot of cramps but not after I purchased the bios
I own the stiffer grey ones which I use while its warm in Florida and the softer yellow "C" for the winter months.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I can't get enough of these fins. They're great. Really comfortable and quick. The steel strap is awesome - no more fiddling around with dinky straps so I'm so much quicker in and out of the water.

As always, great and fast service from LeisurePro.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I love how easy it is to put these on and take them off, and the fact that they fit securely but are not uncomfortable. They don't seem to require as much effort to kick against current like my non-split fins did, and I have not noticed any significant deficits when maneuvering in tight places.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
a great fin in almost every aspect. moves you through the water real nice. one fin slightly hurts the arch of my foot, which may be a foot problem, not a fin problem. and they are heavy, which is unfortunately a side effect of performance. spring straps are a must have though! overall very satisfied
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I love how these feel on your feet. You don't have to work hard moving through the water.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I been diving a long time and these fins make it easier than ever before. I have not used them in my dry suit yet, but for warm water diving they make diving more fun with less than half the effort.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
So much less effort than blades. Very maneuverable. But blades do have the edge when bursts of speed are needed.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Before I use these fins, I often had a cramp on my leg or foot during the dive. However, I never had a cramp since I purchase these fins. So I bought another pair for my husband, and he told me the same.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Spring straps make putting fins on and taking fins off a bit more difficult. But, there is no adjustment necessary to have a perfect fit. These fins have increased my strength and maneuverabilty noticeably. Has also reduced or almost eliminated pain in shins while snorkeling.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins are great! Fast, powerful, easy to kick. No leg cramps, EVER!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
What a nice improvement. The spring straps are easy and comfortable. Very efficient in the water.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
The fins are great! They are comfortable and very efficent. Minimal effort is required to move through the water. Me being a girl, I was concerned about the width, but I got some booties and they fit great. They are very easy to get on/off because of the spring strap: No tabs to pull or adjusments to make.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
Fantastic product. Straps adjust instantly and remain securely in place. Split fin design all but eliminates fatigue and allows you to be in the water all day. I can't see why you would want anything else.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
These fins are great! I can move at a pretty decent pace without much effort. I'm also very glad that I spent the extra money to buy the C-series with the spring straps; Its amusing to watch my dive buddy have to sit down and struggle with his fin straps, while I just quickly slip mine on while standing.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I really like this fin. It easily slips on (I have the metal spring straps) and it easily moves me through the water with much less effort. The only small con is that they are heavier than my Mares. This is not a problem in the water (they are neutral buoyancy) but does add weight to my dive bag during travel.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
The best fins i ever own.Wish come out soonner...Thanks again.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
I moved from Scuba Pro Twin Jets to these Bio Fins with the stainless strap last year. A nice improvement in speed and comfort over the old fins. Highly recommended!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio Fins Pro C-Series - with Stainless steel fin strap:
THESE FINS KICK EFFORTLESSLY,GREAT FOR THOSE PRONE TO CRAMPING. THE STAINLESS SPRING STRAPS ARE DEFFINATELY WORTH THE EXTRA $50. THEY SLIP ON AND OFF EASILY, NONE OF THAT HASSLEING WITH STUPID RUBBER STRAPS. MAKES YOU WISH YOUR MASK HAD A STAINLESS SPRING STRAP. STRAP HAS A HANDY FINGER LOOP THAT ACCOMADATES GLOVED HANDS. AND CAN DOUBLE FOR CLIPPING TO YOUR BC FOR ENTERING, EXITING WATER.
**CAREFULL, THEY ARE NEGATIVELY BOAYANT AND SINK FAST**
