Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins feel great and are effortless to use. I've dove all over the Caribbean and there are a bunch of bio fins out there. Once I tried them I was hooked!!! Speed, comfort and effortless kicking makes these fins A+ in my book.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These are the only fins I want on my feet. I have made believers out of several people by letting them use my fins just once. Others have a hard time keeping up with me because these are so fast and efficient. LOVE THEM!!!!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins are significantly faster than the V-16 even though they are much heavier. Like all split fins leg cramps are non-existent and you must use a flutter kick to take full advantage of the benefits of the design. These fins improved my time on the 800 meter snorkel and 100 meter full kit tow stamina tests. In practice in a half Olympic sized pool before the Divemaster tests I could never get below 14 minutes in the 800 meter snorkel, but with these fins my times ranged between 13:30 and 13:00 on the same course. Plus, they are solid orange! Easy to follow me and nobody can say they mixed them up with theirs.

The best fins. More expensive than most others, but well worth it. The orange fins also are great for when your buddy needs to keep track of you.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
It's easy to feel skeptical about all the rave reviews this fin gets... but I tried them, got them and have not looked back since!
It's a very good and efficient fin - I enjoy how I can cruise reefs w/ little effort... when not needing speed or great distance I simply flick lightly with my ANKLES and not my whole leg... but when I need the power and stroke it's there when I need it - a true sports car of a fin
downside: HEAVY... it's full-rubber construction makes it heavy in the water and in the divebag... can be a bad thing when you travel
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These replace a pair I've used for a couple of years that were wonderful but tight in the toe. When I checked Apollo's size chart, I saw I'd been wearing a size too small. The new ones are just about perfect, except that they're very heavy in the water and in the gear bag. (If you use ankle weights for trim, you probably won't need them with these fins).
I had the Apollo steel spring straps on the old pair, but I find the stock rubber straps somewhat more comfortable and not significantly harder to don and doff.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I live in Key West Florida. I dive reefs, wrecks. I used the fins for the first time. I was happy with them. I need to get in the water a few times more then I can let everyone know how the really are.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
this fin feels kinda heavy when ur just holding it but once u get in the water its like its not even there and u hardly have to kick to move

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I was between the Scubapro twin jets and the Apollos. I could not be happier with my purchase. Although at first the Apollos look really simple and plain, underwater they are amazing. Great fit, extremely fast and lightweight. These are by far the best item of my scuba equipment.
Because I bought them in yellow my friends can see me from really far away, so I never get lost!!!
The only thing i would change is the adjustable rubber strap for the stainless steel spring strap.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Well made and efficient.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins fit great with my boots. It's so nice to just barely flutter my ankles and zoom through the water. I don't kick up so much silt now either.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins are great! Not only do they glide through the water with ease but they also get you to where your going with minimal work. I dive mostly in Southern California where getting past the surf needs to happen quickly; these fins will not let you down.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I'll preface this by saying that the split fin technology used in these fins is licensed by Nature's Wing to Apollo, ScubaPro, Atomic, TUSA, Oceanic, Dacor, Sherwood, Beuchat and Genesis. Any of these manufacturers that claims to have a "secret" design that the other don't, is referring only to details such as materials, fins strap design, batten and rib design. The basic principles and operation of these fins is identical for all of them. Potentially each of these fins will work about the same for you. The key is to determine which manufacturer's products fits your foot and swimming style the best.My reasons for picking Apollo fins was simple: - They are 100% rubber and as such weigh about twice as much as most fins. They keep my legs down and help stop my tendency toward bicycling when I'm tired. I also was able to shed a few pounds from my BC and I'd rather have the weight on my feet than my waist while standing on a dive boat.- Being rubber they are VERY comfortable and feel like bedroom slippers.- Apollo gives you a choice of stiffness (see their website for recommendations on selection). Stiffer is NOT always the best choice. I chose an intermediate stiffness.- Price: The price for Apollos has tumbled about $45 recently to ~$155 Atomics are considerably more expensive.- I'm not convinced that for the average diver, a small change in rib or batten design means that much...sort of along the line of the average golfer paying $350 or $1200 for a putter. It might might a difference for Tiger Woods but not for me.- The option for factory installed spring straps. I've always installed these as an after market item on my fins. The factory installed Apollo straps are literally bonded into the fin. If you go for a regular adjustable fin strap the Atomic strap is about the best I've ever seen, but once you've tried spring straps you'll never go back.Next, you must change your kick style to use any split fin effectively. You need a high frequency, low amplitude kick that stays within the slipstream of your body and tank. At first the decreased effort will make you feel as if your not going to be going very fast but you'll soon realize that increased effort with your old slab fins doesn't always mean more speed. The first time I used them I was able for the first to keep up with my old instructor and his ScubaPro splits w/o any problem for the first time. For short all-out sprints, you feel as if you're flying over the reef. I also found that my air consumption and fatigue decreased, while my speed and comfort increased with split fins. Remember, don't get pre-sold on any one brand before trying them on. I love my Apollos and wouldn't give you 2 cents for my dive buddy's Atomics, but she feels the same way about her Atomics and my Apollos. Finally, by their very nature split fins are a bit less maneuverable than slab sided fins. However the different kick style means that you disturb the bottom a lot less so I personally fell that it's an excellent trade off.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I have dove with a lot of different fins and these have got to be the most efficient I have ever used. A friend of mine has them and I just tried them for the first time today. I was so amazed at how easy it was to skindive to depths of 15ft+ and still have energy and air to stay down and see what cannot be easily/clearly seen from the surface. I was actually so quick with these underwater, I did not even realize how quickly I had swam away from the shore, no problem, they do not tire the legs at all and I was able to swim back with just as much speed.
I ran home tonight and got on the internet to order my own pair (this site is the cheapest I found them). I assure you if you ever have the chance to try these, you will do the same. My only regret is spending money on other fins, when I should have got these 2 years ago when I first met the friend with these fins. BTW, his fins are more than 2 years old, have been almost around the world and still look brand new. These are durable fins!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins allow for increased speed and manuverability with less effort. I particularly like the 20 degree down-angle which places the foot at the ideal angle for efficiency. With routine treatment using silicone spray or grease, these fins should last nearly forever.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I needed new fins to fit the boots on my new dry suit (DUI CF200 with #9 Rock Boots). The large Bio-Fin Pro fits over the Rock Boots and also works with a smaller slip-on shoe that DUI gave me in the mean time because their Rock Boots are out of stock.
I dove the new suit and fins last weekend for the first time and swimming was pretty good. Much better than with the large paddle fins I used to use with my 30 year-old Unisuit (which I haven't used in 15 years, mostly because of the poor swimming characteristics). Normally, I dive a 1/4" wetsuit and wear large (9-10) full foot fins with 1/8" socks. The downside, of course, is the cold here in New England. My goal with the new gear is to move into the current century and have the best of both worlds: warmth and good swimming characteristics.
I'm still not sure how I feel about split fins. I don't understand why nobody makes single blade fins to fit drysuit boots that are smaller (and with the right shape and flex), making it easier to maneuver and to kick fast when you need speed. In any event, the Bio-Fins are the best thing I have found so far.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I spent a lot of time not moving my legs because when I did I would pass all my dive buddies and have to go back. Felt like I didn't have anything on my feet but with the slightest kick I would take off. Great Control.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Better than Scubapro Twinjets as they're narrower and faster. These save me 10 minutes bottom time compared to conventional fins. You never feel the fins on your feet. I wear a 13 boot, and the fin accepts both my 3mm and my large soled 5mm with ease. Go with the XL if you wear 13's. I've had mine for years and they are my #1 fin. This site's price is very good. They're worth every penny. Just remember to refrain from over-kicking the fin.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
once I figured the kick...well, i am Aqua-Man!
really fast, with little effort. great acceleration.
thought the width was just a bit roomy, but with my boots, it was still comfortable.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These are the most efficient fins I have ever experienced. You can not feel them on your feet, and you move with amazing speed and ease
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Its the Rubber!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Nice fins just a little hard to take off with my size 13 feet.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Excellent product, eliminates the appearance of cramps and work well even in strong current!
I recommend to all!!!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
This is my 2nd pair of Apollo Bio-Fin, I alternate between the blue and the black set. I like the fin and snorkel/scuba so often I don't want to be without my favorite fins. They are heavy out of the water, but I do not notice the weight at all in the water. I generally snorkel twice a week for at least an hour or more - that's a lot of leg kicks. For me this is an excellent fin.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins are great. When I got in the water and started swimming around, it almost felt like I wasn't wearing fins (compared to my old ones) and with just a few kicks I went flying past the rest of the divers. I spent almost 2 hours in the water and my legs never even got tired.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
THE BEST FINS I HAVE EVER WORN IN THE WATER! SWIM LIKE LIGHTNING WITH NO EFFORT AT ALL!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Great Fin, requires minimal effort even as a beginner. I used for my certification and open water dives and it was a good experience.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Very nice fins
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I love these fins. I ordered the PINK ones and they are very unique. I have gotten many compliments from fellow female divers on the color alone. These fins are very flexible and I feel like I zoom through the water with them on with minimal effort. They are very relaxing to swim with. I feel like I get at least twice the distance per kick as opposed to typical dive fins. For me, they are a great investment for the price. They are made well and rugged and I am sure will stand up to years of use (and occasional abuse I'm sure).
I LOVE Leisure pro and I will NEVER shop elsewhere for dive equipment again. They ship items out immediately and it seems like it takes no time at all for them to arrive. Items have always arrived securely packaged. It couldn't be easier to make an exchange. Just call and they send a new one out right away. They have GREAT customer service and I truly have no complaints. I would recommend this company to my best friend, and have!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I am a size 12 and bought a large. there is enough room for your booties. No stores in my city carried these fins so I was worried about what size to get. Large would fit probably a size 10-12 and probably a 9 and a 13 to but i think you would be on the fine line of another size bigger or smaller with those sizes

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These are great fins. Best fins I have worn. The are very flexible so when you are on the bottom and want to kneel down you don't need to worry about digging your fins into the sand/mud and stirring up too much. Also makes it easy to sit on the bottom. As for their speed, once you have learned how to kick with them you can outrun anyone using non-split fins. Great fins, very comfortable, and they will get you where your going on time!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
My first fins were a pair of Cressi-Sub Rondine A Open Heels that worked great, but my new split fins are amazing. My knees and ankles tend to bother me while diving, but I had no problems when wearing the Bio fins. I can easily keep up with any group of divers regardless of the current. The foot pocket fits great with my 5 mm boots and there are no foot cramps. They are a little bit on the heavy side for travel, but well worth the extra effort.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I am an older diver, nearly 60, and I am always looking for an edge in the water. I purchased and used the Bio Fins on a recent trip to Ft Lauderdale. I took two courses, wreck, search & recovery, it took 8 dives to complete both courses. Alot of diving and it all went great. I never got tired or cramped.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These are the king of split-fins when researching on the internet and after biting the bullet, they are definitely worth the money. Having recently injured my knee and finding that swimming with paddle fins now puts undue strain on my knee, I was looking for options other than giving up snorkeling/scuba. The split-fin design definitely provides less resistance yet does not seem to be lacking at all in thrust. Even in strong current the fins work well. Some folks complain that the "feel" of thrust is lost when using these somewhat floppy rubber fins but you are certainly not falling behind your buddies and to me, the kick is now much more natural feeling. The only 2 complaints I have are 1) the travel weight of these, being twice the weight of my usual fins, only noticeable when schlepping through the airport or on a hike down to a remote beach 2) the fin straps work fine but are a bit long with my shoe size, so I would recommend the springs. If comfort is your main priority, I can't see how you would be disappointed with these. I notice little to no performance loss nor any directional ability with the rubber compound.

I leave everyone else behind with these fins. A couple of my dive buddies have purchased these just so they can keep up with me. The fatigue level is way lower than other fins. You will not regret buying these fins.

Super easy on you legs. However, in current you just don't have as much power as other fins, but great all-around fin!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I have used my apollo's on several dives and while snorkeling. They feel weightless, are easy to put on and take off. I have a high instep and the softer rubber and roomy space for my booties make for no squeeze, no discomfort during the entire dive. I love them!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins are everything they are claimed to be — and then some! They are extremely efficient which means an end to calf cramping, sore knees, and burning out trying to fight a current.
There are only two negatives: 1) Many experienced divers initially feel the fins are not "working" because they move so easily through the water. This perception goes away once they measure speed & SAC rates to find they are moving faster than with any other fin — and using less air! 2) Split fins are inappropriate for cave-diving as it's difficult to hover stationary (You will tend to move forward.) and almost impossible to fin backwards.
These are the best fins for beginners and advanced openwater divers alike, whether snorkeling or scuba-diving. Buy a pair!
Spring straps are an excellent addition, whether Apollo's or after-market. You'll never again fight with buckles or broken straps.
Delivery was fast & convenient. Leisurepro is a joy to do business with!

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Excellent fins. Before these I had a pair of scuba pro split fins. The scuba pro's never gave me enough thrust. I finally gave up on them when I found myself fighting against the current off Key-Largo. I sold them and bought the Apollos and have been thrilled with the Apollo's ever since. They are really comfortable and easy to kick but they can give you the performance you need. Overall a great balance.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins make swimming 250 yards from shore in full scuba gear a breeze. The best fins for beach divers. They move you fast both on the surface and underwater. The only drawback to the fins is you can't stop on a dime or sit still in current. So taking photos sometimes can be difficult, but for the comfort of using these fins, less leg cramps and fatigue, I'll never go back to the standard flat board type fins.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
The best open heel I ever worn. I bougth for my wife, but I use it when she is not watching. When my jet-fins die I will buy my own.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Great for "big foot" guys.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Tried both full foot and open models, the open model is great although a bit heavy for travel, I couldn't use the full foot model, got blister and gave the fin away.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
A nice fin. No leg fatigue or cramps with this fin. Great pupulsion in most cases. A little weak when I have to face a really strong current.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
When it comes to purchases want the best product at the best price. These fins did just that!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I never have to think about them. They feel and work great.

Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
The fins have been excellent, although slightly large and heavy. Easy to put them on and take them off.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I have ankle problems and have purchased many fins trying to find one that doesn't hender my dive as far as pain in my ankles. With these fins I am comfortable and still have the power to maneuver, even in currents.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins will surprize you. You'll think your not going any place but all at once you'll notice yourself zooming along. Leg cramps almost nell where as before I had them alot with other fins. Great for not stiring up silt in overhead enviroments. Feels like your not wearing fins. The best fins I had in 30 years of diving.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Great pair of fins. I have been diving with some die hards who bock at split fins but I think after they have seen the performance they may have a different view. Great fins and have eliminated the leg cramps I use to experience. Highly recommended
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
These fins are really good. These are the best fins I ever use, and i'm now curious about the new series that are made of harder rubber.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
This Apollo fins is work very well for me . All my friend very liked
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I had borrowed these from a friend on a dive trip- the entire trip I'd been having to push to keep up with the other (younger, impatient) divers. With these, I could amble along and keep up. Could even stop and look for a bit and catch back up. I immediately ordered a pair!
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I had a 25 year old pair of 707s - great fins but too hard on my knees anymore- I wasnt sure the split fins would help and be as powerfuland I wasnt sure which split to go with.... I am really happy withthese bio fins I just got back from st croix - my knees never hurt....and i could go all day with these fins.... power was way better than my 707s [...]
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
For years they were rated no.1. Extremely comfortable, powerful, and long lasting. The only split fin I would use now and in the long run. Anybody who buys these fins is no doubt getting their moneys worth and then some. They are the best split fin out their.......hands down.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
I have had a pair for seven years and would not trade them for any other fins.
Comments about Apollo Apollo Bio-Fin Pro Fins:
Good Fin. But when you are loaded with lots of gear and encounter a current you are going to have to expend a lot of energy. If you are a more experienced diver or strong swimmer consider the stiffer bio-fin. It is a good product, just wish I got the stiffer compound.
