The Velocity duo fin is the latest introduction into the "split fin" market. TheVelocity duo's high performance is achieved by combining patented Nature's Wing technology with state-of-the-art materials.

The Velocity duo is designed to provide greater thrust while reducing muscle fatigue. The dual blade design allows the diver to make a much more efficient flutter kick, thus reducing the amount of effort needed to propel the diver through the water.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

I have not used the split fin but did have the solid Aeris Velocity fins and loved them. Unfortunately, I lost them on my last trip and had to replace. I now have the split (Duo) and am anxious to go again. My dive buddy has a pair and says she can hardly tell she is even wearing fins. They work so well she is always ahead of the pack. I do suggest the spring straps for ease of puting them on and taking them off. They hold really well. However, they do add weight to the fins and if you loose them in the water after removal they will sink rather quickly. The only con for the fins are that I have small feet (size 7) and they certainly aren't made for a man or woman with small feet. We had to modify the footy compartment for my dive buddy. We permanently attached the inserts that came with the fins to shorten the boot compartment. The work really well for her now.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was very efficient.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

I have not used the Duo Split fins yet however, I did have the Aeris Velocity solid fins and loved them. Unfortunately, I lost them on my last trip and have had to replace them. I now have the split fins and am anxious to go again. My dive buddy has a pair and she loves them. She says she can hardly tell she even has any on plus they work so well she is usually ahead of the pack. Unfortunately, the small size is not small enough. I have small feet for a man (size 7) and they are rather big and roomy on my feet. But, they do work well when on. We had to modify her fins by permanently attaching the inserts that come with the fins to make the foot compartment short enough for her smaller feet. The inserts also took up some of the side room space as well.

I do recommend adding the spring straps to make it easier to get your fins on and off when entering and leaving the water. However, they do add weight and if lost in the water will sink rather quickly. That is what happened to my first pair.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

You just can't beat the velocity duo's for the money! Very powerful fin, well designed, well made, fit great with light (3-5 mm boot) replaced my Aquaglide fins because their XL were still too small (I have medium foot) and they did not perform on a Cozumel dive trip in November. The Velocitys are fantastic!

Found these fins at a reduced price on the site, and couldnt resist buying them. Made for use with boots, I found these fins were easy on foot strain and made is easy to push through the water. So far I am happy with them. This site is by far the lowest prices I have seen around.

I bought a set for my self and my son to use in Cozumel. The split-fin design helped us swim more efficiently against the current when we need to backtrack. Used them on 7 dives with no issues. Great price for split-fins.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

This is my first set of fins, so keep that in mind. I can't testify to their efficiency versus other fins, but they seem to work very well.

On the sizing, I'm a bit of a freak in that aspect so you can't put the blame squarely on the product. I wear a US men's size 14, but have narrow feet. So, I'm not surprised that the XXL is a little small and a little wide. The width is very negligible with boots on and just the tips of my toes stick through the end of the foot cavity.

I tried a friends fins (Sherwood I think) and the toes were almost completely enclosed, so I didn't have the problem of my boot toes sticking through the slot and rubbing.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

Had kicked around a little in a pool to test them before, but just used in open water for the first time a couple days ago. With my previous fins, my legs would often get tired during dives. With these, I pretty much forgot they were even there. I wasted practically no excursion. Comfortable and efficient. I was diving a small site, but seemed effective for the conditions.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

I am a beginner diver & bought these fins after doing a little bit of research on the split fins vs. the full fin. These fins are wonderful!! I couldn't have asked for a better pair!! They are comfortable, easy to put on & glide through the water. AND, because they are a split fin, there is less resistance when kicking.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Velocity Duo Split Fins:

As a person new to SCUBA diving I need any advantage I can to conserve air. I had been using paddle type fins and wanted to switch to Split fins after listening to other divers talk positively about them but I didn't want to spend a fortune. I've used my Aries Velocity splits a couple of times now and I have noticed a positive difference in my air consumption. While swimming directly behind a guy using a paddle type fin, it was noticed that I was not silting the bottom but he was. Overall I'm happy with them and I am going to buy a set for my wife.
