Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

Great fins especially for the $$. At first they felt a little stiff, but break in very quickly. Very slight pressure on the open toe box (got use to this very quickly). Apart from those two complains, these are awesome fins. Great Buy.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

These might be OK for people with small feet. I wear a size 14 as these are terrible. I had to return them. The toe box is all messed up and painfull!!!! It's strange, there is a sharp upward ledge where the toes should poke through. Istead toes just rub on the ledge and hurt.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

First let me state that these are not MY fins. They pinch my toes and I can't wear them.

On the other hand, my wife and daughter love them. My daughter learned to dive and used a lot of my hand-me-downs including her mother's fins. My wife will not even consider getting certified, but likes to snorkel.

When my daughter left for graduate school this summer we gave her her mother's fins and I bought a new set at Leisure Pro for our recent trip to Curacao since the price was better than the local dive shop.

My wife still loves them and won't use any of my other fins.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

The plastic broke on one fin the first time in the water! The COLORED PART IS PLASTIC yet fairly resilient to flexing, however mine broke just above the vents where the plastic is more rigid. Perhaps mine was defective? I can see how this would be a great light-use snorkeling fin; not a good choice for the serious, long term diver. The black rubber part down the middle gets really thin towards the tip and might be prone to punctures, tears, or splitting.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

The fins are light and stiff. I like them because it takes very little ankle movement to generate turns. Very good for the frog kick and helicopter kicks. I have not used them yet in a strong current so cannot comment about that.

The quick releases are good. The fins go on an off easily. I've used them shore diving and boat diving at Lake Pleasant.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

I bought these because of their advertisement as being lightweight and suitable for travel. They are, but are also a little longer than expected. The fins are pretty good, but given the large percentage of plastic in their construction, I do not anticipate that they will last as long as earlier models (such as rubberized Scubaro, Dacor, Aqualung, etc). Still they are reasonably priced and performed very well when diving in eastern Africa recently. They have shown wear readily. The fin straps are plastic-ish and may not last, but I like the buckle design, especially compared to older model fins. They are easily to kick and provide ample thrust.

I've used these fins on a handful of dives and a bit of snorkeling. The are very powerful for snorkeling, and just the right power for diving. construction is very nice and they produce a lot of power, was easily able to overcome a 3-4 knot current on my last dive.

Great fins easy to use fit very well I swam for over an hour with these and felt like I had taken a short walk. Takes very little effort to use and if you put a little effort you can achieve VERY GOOD SPEED out of them. they were excellent for the current in the river no difficulty getting out or up the current.

GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE CAN'T BET THAT!

Cheep and Efficient you can't beat that....

Read the other reviews and magazines - I dove these from the beach, drift, calm ... and they had good acceleration and were easy to kick. They are very light, so with [$]per overweight bag, they are good for travel.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

I have owned these fins for well over a year now and have used them in the pool with students, at the lake, in the river, in the Cenotes and Cozumel. I love these fins. They have performed well for me and I get plenty of power. I've used them to fight the currents in the river and to swim upcurrent on various sites of Palancar reef. I'm about 215 lbs and they move me easily through the water. I get good response with a flutter kick or a frog kick. I would definitely buy these fins again if I needed a new pair.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Mako Fins:

I would recommend this product for someone that was going to dive in low current conditions. I have taken these fins on about 7 dives so far and they are a comfortable fit. In current conditions, these fins are decent at best, In the few conditions where current was a problem these fins felt like they lacked power to escape the current, but in calm conditions they provide a calm cruise.
