I purchased this computer to use it in gauge mode for ratio deco. It has a very straight forward gauge mode, shows seconds, and has a resettable stop watch feature which is great for timing each deco segment.

This is a nice computer. Although it is 2006 technology, it does everything you need it to. It's built for tech diving, but works for recreational depths just fine. On the same trip, I had this computer on a drift, then in a cenote, then a shallow reef, and it didn't skip a beat. The SmartTRAK software is great, once you get it installed. I do recommend that you use a screen protector for the unit, as it can get scratched.

Great computer for deep/long bottom air and nitrox deco. Lots of user settings and alarms. Best computer for the money. Especially 2 gas capable.

Uwatec makes solid, reliable computers. The Tec2g is perfect for entry level tec divers because you can adjust the max ppO2 for planning contingencies, and you can program in a 2nd gas. When you get above the MOD for the 2nd gas, you just push a button and it changes your deco schedule using the new gas. Also has severl safety settings for the rec diver. Perfect all around computer that will take you pretty far in diving. Well worth the moeny.

Instructions in six languages! However, the format and teaching of the instructions is very disjointed to a novice diver. A more experienced diver may translate their experience into the instructions to understand the functions, but since the instructions are simply a description of the numbers and button functions, it would really help to present a scenario in the instructions explaining how each function relates and which buttons to use.
