Pretty Much "Screw & Play" Never had a problem. Just be sure and screw it in on the side you wear your wrist unit.

Hoseless is best! I got a second transmitter to go with the independent doubles I've been using. Screw it into the high pressure first stage, pair it up with the Galileo and forget about it. Worked great!

Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Trasmitter for Galileo, Smart Tec and Smart Z Computers:
Scubapro/Uwatec really missed the boat when they made these transmitters user serviceable. My first one flooded after 20 some dives without me even attempting to service/adjust the thing. The replacement sent to me at no charge had the battery fail after 20 or so dives. That left me sort of stranded in Hawaii so I opened it up and changed the battery following the owners manual instructions to a "T" to include a new O ring, lubricating said O ring, and not overtighteningthe three screws. About fifteen dives later this one too has flooded and is now unusable. I'm sure they'll replace it as I'm a PADI instructor working out of a Scubapro/Uwatec dealer shop but nonetheless, it is a pain. I put well over a thousand dives on the non user servicible transponder with nary a problem. Please Uwatec go back to the old way!

As expected, the transmission range is very good. I run a doubles setup and can transmit between first stage and opposite wrist without losing reception.
