I want my computer to show me a five minute countdown when I do my safety stops and I want it on the home page. BIG problem w/this computer.
Also, the owner's manual is VERY complicated. Not good.

Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist Dive Computer:
After having working in a dive center for years I have noticed that this computer does it all economically and effectively. Seeing hundreds of this computer being used for rental as well as customers purchasing their own models, I have not seen a simpler computer that gets better results from its users. It has an easy display to read, and it is easy to adjust the settings (PROVIDED YOU READ THE MANUAL).
Has computer upload capability
Nitrox compatible
Perfect for those who do the recreational diving

Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist Dive Computer:
I purchased this computer for a recent trip to Florida. This was my first dive computer so I didn't really know what to expect. The Prime did the essential stuff I needed to log my dives. It was a lot easier to keep track of bottom time, max depth, and SIT times. I'm still learning the other features of the computer and trying to get my IR port on my PC turned on so I can transfer dives to my PC. If your looking at your first dive computer, give this one a chance.

Older models have a defect in the IR port. The IR port blows out and quits working. Then, it starts burning through batteries. [...] The new one is outstanding!

The computer appears to be very good... when it works well... BUT IT NEVER DOES. IR capability was lost ; after the first batery change, the new batteries were drained after 2 days....

Great computer. A bargan from LeisurePro. Comes with free software. Just get you an IrDA for your PC (recommend a cheap one instead of the one sold by UWATEC.)One problem...My first one from 2006 had a defect in the IR port. Port went bad in about 1 year and then started burning up batteries quickly. [...]
Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist Dive Computer:
This was a present for my wife, but I got to dive with it a few times. Works pretty good. Sometimes hard to remember the options, and how to set Nitrox, PPo2, etc; they are not logically grouped. Also hard to keep straight the buttons to turn on the backlight or start the SS timer UW as well. The base functions during a dive were intuitive and clear though. Thermometer reading always seems radically different from my computer, often in different directions, but I've never seen an accurate temp reading from a DC.
Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist Dive Computer:
I like that this computer has a built-in IR port so you don't have to buy extra cables to transfer data to your computer. Two of my buddies have the same computer, and we all experienced computer failures within weeks of each other. All computers were replaced under warranty. The audible alarm is very faint, and I've never been able to hear it underwater.
Comments about Scubapro Uwatec Aladin Prime Wrist Dive Computer:
Have had absolutely no problems with the computer. Is not air intigrated, but has all other features.Had it for just over a year. Was able to purchase the dive computer battery at [...] for a few bucks and replace it easily myself. As with all scubapro computers, you get excellent PC/MAC software free.
