I've used this computer as my main for 25 dives. It works flawlessly, and it has MANY customizable options (max depth alarm, customizable air options including low air, end of dive and one called "turn" which basically signifies half air, O2 saturation, nitrogen index, ascent alarm, dual algorithms, etc., etc.).

It is very simple to use once the instruction manual is read, it is very easy to read in all light conditions due to the manual backlight, the buttons are very easy to push... It's a very, very good computer.

More features: 3 customizable gas modes for whatever you desire. You can switch between gas modes or even change them before or after a dive. Air integration works flawlessly.

I'm not sure what else I can say; it does exactly what it says it will do. If you need to change or customize something, there is a way. If you don't like the alarms, you can change them, etc.

I previuosly had the VT Pro and flooded it when chaning the battery, and liked so much that I replaced it with the VT3, unfortunately it still has the same battery housing design which is hard to reseal. The band is to long and itis more difficult to set the nitrox mix %. Overall function is acceptable and what I desired for a remote computer.

Everything you will ever need in one big easy to read package. Large dial, easy to read at night, can change battery your self!!! IMPORTANT OTHERS require you to send back to dealer to change a $5 CR2450 CVS battery....plus if you are on a trip even in remote locations you can always get a CR2450 battery. Tank Air Pressure reading is reliable and its pre coded to your transmitter...no worries here about picking up another divers signal on crowded Cozumel Dive Boats!!!

Great product, all functions you would ever need, easy to learn to operate, expandable for Nitrox and Tec Rec, Easy Battery Exchange tool to change is included. Do NOT underestaimate benefit of being able to change Battery yourself. I have a Suunto D9 as well.....cost me 300USD to change Battery including Shipping & Insurance & Dealer Cost to Change the Battery Change in Chicago !!

I have over 100 dives on this wireless system and it has been very reliable. Repetative dives, Nitrox, watch feedback, etc, are all very good. My only complaint is the PC software package is flaky and crashes from time to time. I would give 5 flag rating if software was up to par.

I´ve had one for around 130 dives in warm and cold waters, only once failed (might have been me), couple of friends have it and they have reported "missing signal" when diving but thats ok for me cause I use analog normal air gauge as well so no need to panic ;)
Battery still good after all this time but gonna replace them soon anyway, better be safe than..

Good size display. Very easy to use under water, easy to read. It is very comfortable to have no hose attached. Never lost sync with the transmitter.
However cheesy computer software (Diver Log) their GUI is not up to date it is 2007 not 1997 you know.

It’s a small and reliable computer. Not so big as the Pro Plus 2 and not so small as the Atom, which is difficult to read at night. The Data cable is a must!

I was used to my older integrated Oceanic, but wanted a newer model that had some of the newer features regarding Nitrox. This computer had all the features I needed and then some and the functions were intuitive. I was able to transition from my older model to this model without any effort. The one HUGE plus was that I didn't lose transmitter contact as the older model did from time to time.

I have several dives on this computer. I love having all my dive information right at my wrist. The big thing I noticed is that it makes ascents much easier, one hand is free to work the BC/wing inflator hose, the other hand with the VT3 can hold the ascent line and watch the ascent rate indicator as you are going up. Very convienient.

Only negatives are that the audible alarms are a bit hard to hear with a 7mm hood on, but I tend to monitor my computer and important notifications do not go un-noticed (especially it being on my wrist). Every now and then the unit will lose connection to the air pressure transciever, but that is because I wear the VT3 on the right and the transmitter is on the left side of the 1st stage. It always re-establishes the link within a few seconds after I notice the lost link. Maybe it will happen 2-3 times in a dive, for less than a min.

I did mark that the computer is complicated - you have to read the instruction manual. But honestly, if you are going to pay hundreds of dollars on a piece of equipment that you will be relying on for your own saftey, you ought to fully understand its use and features. Complicated isn't neccessarily bad, but you have to do your part in learning it.

The only other con is if you are switching gas mixtures, the computer only allows for switching to a gas with a higher 02 percentage, so if you were on 32% Nitrox, you could not switch to "air" in your pony bottle. The theory is, if you are using multiple gasses, your 2nd gas is either the same as your back gas, or a deco gas with higher O2 percentages. Not a major con, but worth mentioning...

Great dive computer with very reliable wireless connection. No connection problem on 20+ dives. PC interface and PC software is unreliable and needs a lot of work to improve.

Switched over to the VT3 hoseless air integrated just before going for advanced open water. Although (as reported) the written manual is extremely difficult to get through, actually using the computer is fairly easy and the learning curve is very short.

After the first 2 dives of a 6 dive weekend I felt confident in the computers reliable operation and my abilities to understand it's display and controls.

The download adapter allows for a fast tranfer of recorded dive data, easy logging and changes to the program for upcoming dives.

By the end of the weekend with my new friend on my wrist I had new confidence in my equipment, my dive skills and attained my AOW cert.

This is a great computer for the money. A little bigger in person than I expected (affectionately know as my anchor) but does everything you could ask for. Compared its readings to a D9 on a 100ft dive and they are practically identical. Couldn’t ask for much more, except less size :-)

Get rid of the hose, be conscious of air time remaining and every piece of information you need. Should have switched long before.

Product is very easy to use, reliable, accurate and full of features. I would recommend it closed-eyes. However, the only think I did not like is the fact that you cannot have information of your final air pressure unless you sync the unit so that is a little bit inconvenient if you rather not to use the software and are only using your own dive log; Instructions are way to complicated for what the "hands-on" operations really is, although the small reference card attached to it is kind of useful instead of going through the whole manual. Great purchase for a great price compared with others.

Great computer but the manual is very complicated and takes a lot of trial and error to work through. The computer is easy to read and I have never lost sync with the transmitter.

I was very impressed with the reliability of this computer. The data was never dropped. Initial signal was very quickly acquired. Would be difficult to find a better computer for the money.

The VT3 is a great computer that is easy to use, even for a novice. The only draw back is the complex instructions that take a rocket scientist to figure out. Overall I would totally recommend this computer to anyone.
