Comments about Oceanic Oceanic OC1 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Computer Watch with Transmitter (Complete System):
Purchased this unit for myself and my wife. Love the ability to keep an eye on eachother's remaining air. I have had bilateral cattaract surgery so reading the numbers is an issue - this unit worked just fine even in reduced vizability though for night diving ar really rstricted vision I switch to my computer mask. All in all a really good item but you do have to spend time learning to use it-- well it is an advanced piece of electronic equipment. the connection to the computer and electronic log is as commented by others -- outdated, flakey and unreliable. The IT folks for oceanic really need to get it corrected it degrades the reputation of an otherwise great piece of gear ( same thing applies to the Computer mask)

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic OC1 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Computer Watch with Transmitter (Complete System):
I just came back from Roatan and the OC1 was fantastic. Wet activation mode and seamless activation of the wireless control make it practically idiot proof. Jump in the water and it takes over. Plus the unit is gorgeous. I had many compliments (nondivers included) on the looks and style of the unit.
You do need to spend some time studying the menus and functions. It may be a bit confusing at first but then becomes obvious once you become familiar with it. My dive buddy could hear the audio warnings 20 feet away! I never had any data errors or communications mishaps. The watch was easy to read during the night dives and low light dives.
The negatives: the screws fell off the wristband latch after the 4th dive and the lens cover came off after the 8th dive. I replaced the screws with the ones from the extended wristband, ensured they were tight, and had no problems after that.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic OC1 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Computer Watch with Transmitter (Complete System):
I was glad I had a backup computer on my first trip with the OC1, since it locked in guage mode after the first dive making multiple functions inaccessible until I was on my way home. The audible alarm is so quiet and its duration so short that it is almost useless on a dive. Needless to say, the watch mode wakeup alarm can't be depended on when at arms length. Admittedly the OC1 has many exceptional features for its size, but there is a steep learning curve and the operation manual is poorly conceived.
