Withstands high pressure - making it perfect for the office. The ATOM 2.0 is equally at home when worn with wetsuit or a three-piece suit. Don't be deceived by its small size -- this small format PDC powerhouse delivers all the bells and whistles you can imagine at the touch of a button.

Switch Between 3 Independent Wireless Transmitters The ATOM 2.0 Wristwatch PDC is a sophisticated Personal Dive Computer featuring Oceanic's wireless air integration technology. A transmitter threaded into the first stage high-pressure port continuously sends cylinder pressure data to the wristwatch. Frequencies are individually coded to allow multiple divers to swim side by side without interference with other units, as well as allow advanced divers to monitor up to 3 independent cylinders. Because the transmitter and display module are independent and separately powered units, the receiver may also be easily used as a stand alone, non-air integrated dive computer.
Buddy Pressure Check Transmitters may be programmed for "SELF" or "BUD" for Buddy - when programmed for "BUD" - the ATOM 2.0 will search for and display pressure for transmitters that are within range (4-6 feet).

Advanced Free Dive Mode The ATOM 2.0 provides accurate depth and time with an amazing 1-second sampling rate for subsequent PC download and analysis. Dive Time is displayed in seconds and minutes. Custom audible alarms include Elapsed Dive Time, Countdown Timer and (3) Independent Max Depth Alarms. The ATOM 2.0 is the first Free Diving Computer to calculate and track Nitrogen Tissue Loading, allowing you to switch between SCUBA dives and Free Dives on the same dive day.

Advanced Wristwatch Functions The ATOM 2.0 is an advanced digital wristwatch featuring a 1/100 second chronograph (stopwatch) with lap timer, 24 hour countdown timer, daily alarm, alternate time zone with date, 12/24 hour clock, and OceanGlo¦ Backlight.

Patented Air Time Remaining Algorithm You're at 80 feet with 1300 psi remaining in your cylinder - how long before you need to begin an ascent to a shallower depth? Our patented Air Time Remaining feature calculates your current depth, breathing rate, cylinder pressure, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom 2.0 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Complete System):

This was a slowly building love affair. I am a newish diver and found all of the functionality initially overwhelming. Then as each new function sank into my thick brain, I began to really appreciate the functionality and started to wonder "so how did I do with out this?".

From checking my buddies info on my wrist, to the download of dive information to the computer. My buddy and I loved analysing the dive after with all of the information the computer collected.

I like the small form factor. There is a ton of information that is there at a glance and more can be pulled up with a button click.

Solid (almost perfect)
By TomekVerified Purchaser from NYC on 1/7/2010
Pros:
Easy To Operate, Easy To Read, Lots Of Functions, Reliable
Cons:
Alarm not loud enough, No ascent rate indicator
Describe Yourself:
Advanced

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom 2.0 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Complete System):

Solid computer. I like it a lot!
Strobes interfered with the link and transmitter signal was lost for several seconds. This is described in the manual, so I'm totally OK with that.
Two things that I wish were different are:
1. The audible alarm is not loud enough. When I was wearing a hood, I could see the blinking numbers, but still couldn't hear the alarm.
2. Ascent rate alarm goes off when I'm already ascending too fast (no gradual ascent indicator with alarm at the end, like in my old Aeris Atmos 2).
The manual is a nightmare, but once you go through the pain once, it's all good after that.

I have had two Atom 2's and the first failed with a flooded watch face 75 deep into a cave, The second watch/transmitter set failed in the same cave 7 months later with the transmitter failing. The 64 dives in between were fine but I will use a hosed guage for a save a dive kit.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom 2.0 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Complete System):

There isn't a lot that can be said about the Oceanic transmitter. It works as designed; and the four that I have are all reliable and easy to service. The use of these transmitters is more a function of your computer, but can be used to monitor multiple tanks or your buddy (assuming you pay attention to your dive buddy). The only downside is that the signal range is not great, which occasionally causes the link between the transmitter and computer to be broken. You also have to be close to your buddy to monitor their pressure.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom 2.0 Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Complete System):

This computer enables a very sleek dive kit. Wireless transmitter for computer plus an integrated Air 2 makes for only one hose off coming around your side: your primary regulator. Very nice!

This computer has all the features you need for recreational diving. No deco limits, depth, air time, nitrox, deco stops, time into dive, etc. As well, there is a good log and a planner that works pretty well. Overall, a very good dive watch if small is want you want at a good price.

If you want to see everything you need on one screen, buy a computer with a bigger screen. Most guides I see use a larger wrist mount Sunto or Uwatec. There is a reason.

As a watch, it works but is a little clunky to use. While small, it is still quite big to use as an everyday watch. I bought this watch because a store worker said he likes it because he only takes one watch on a trip: the Atom 2.0. He uses it as his alarm and everything. This guy must be a geek. One non-diving friend saw my dive watch on my wrist and said, “Man, you got a sun dial on wrist there Benny.” I found myself wearing my normal watch during the day.

The dive log uploads quite easily to the software. The SW itself is a little clunky too, but it works well enough. The watch will store up to 20 dives. HOWEVER, a word of warning. The watch stores detailed info on the dive profile (depth, temp,etc.). But if you set the refresh rate too high, your watch can log every few seconds, but will only store about 4 dives in detail (summary results are kept, but not the profile). I lost a few dive profiles due to this little unwarned "feature."

The manual SUCKS pond water. Not for lack of information. It is too much information. Remember the old Microsoft jokes about its help feature giving technically accurate but functionally useless information? Same thing here. A 10-20 page quick start manual would be priceless.

Another warning, add “checking your watch dive mode” to your pre-dive checklist right before entering the water. Once you pass 5 feet, the watch (as do most computers) locks the dive mode for 24 hours. With this computer, it is quite easy to get in the wrong mode due to button assignments. Once I got locked into free mode on a night dive with no way to change it. It sucks to dive blind to your tank pressure, especially at night.

I really enjoy this computer, it's small, light weight, and it has great functions. I use it to keep track of my Son and Father-In-Law's Air. Unfortunately it has taken a lot of trial and error and re-reading the book to learn how to use it.
