The high tech, high performance Atom is both a digital wristwatch and a hoseless/wireless air integrated dive computer whose data can be downloaded to your PC. Wear it nearly anywhere: to work, in the pool and, especially, while diving air or nitrox mixtures up to 100 percent.

The Atom is about two inches in diameter and has large, easy to read alphanumeric displays. Four buttons (push one to illuminate the face) control its functions. The Atom does all the things you expect of a watch or dive computer and many, many more; from simple tasks such as timing laps swum in a pool to complicated tasks such as calculating how much dive or air time you've got left underwater.

Without the transmitter (which sends tank data to the wrist instrument), the Atom is a stand-alone dive computer/watch; when the transmitter is screwed into a high pressure port of your regulator first stage; the Atom also keeps track of the air (or nitrox mixture) in your tank (as many as three transmitters/tanks can be used). And it does all of this with no hoses or wires.

This computer can be used down to 330 feet and has user settable visual and audible alarms.

The batteries in both the computer and the transmitter can be replaced by the owner whenever necessary without losing data. At the end of the day, use the software and USB cable that come with the Atom to download data from your dives to your PC or laptop.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Wrist unit only):

I bought this as my first computer several months after getting certified. It's a bit difficult to learn how to use all the functions and what everything means, but the more often you use it the easier it becomes. A frequent complaint I've read about this computer is the short battery life, but having user replaceable batteries is a big plus. After taking it on only one dive the batteries ran low and I had a hard time swapping them out (but eventually did, could just be user error). Granted, I don't know how long it had been sitting on the shelf with those batteries, so I will suspend judgement on this point. I was a little nervous using the air integration function, afraid that the batteries in the unit or the transmitter would die or that the link would get lost, but it was just fine. It's been really nice just having to look at my wrist for my gauge details rather than fumbling around for a console floating around. It's slightly annoying to need to press a button to get my air information (on the Atom 2.0, this is shown on the main screen)--especially if my hands are full as in photography--but not a huge inconvenience since if your air time goes lower than your no-decompression time, that is what will be shown on your main screen. All in all, I'd say it's a fantastic computer and I am very happy with my purchase.

great computer performs way better than expected. one of the best things about it is being able to program from you computer. it is a little difficult to remeber what buttons to press at first but pretty quick to figure out. took me about 3 dives before i knew where and how 100%. Also nice that you can monitor 3 transmitters so me and my wife can monitor each other quite easily. For the price i believe this is the best bang for the buck.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Wrist unit only):

GREAT product for the price. I got the Atom 1.0 before the 2.0 was available. I am a Divemaster, and I love this dive computer. The two downsides are that (1) it will take you a little time to learn how to operate, you need to read or at least flip through the manual (but once you learn, then you're done), and (2) there's a minor software glitch, I believe, with downloading the dives, you have to open two instances of the progam. I bought it before I went pro, and for a pretty reasonable investment got a wireless dive computer that I can use for a very long time. Another plus, you can change the batteries on your own, no need to send it to the dealer. That was a BIG plus for me. If you have endless money, go buy a Sunnto D9 (they're more intuitive to operate). If you want a terrific wireless dive computer that looks good and works well, for a good price, buy this one or the Atom 2.0 .

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Wrist unit only):

I have done about 80+ dives with this PDC and I love its small size and wireless functionality. I would prefer the Atom 2, but for the price you cant beat the Atom 1. I only have a few complaints about the Atom 1. You have to press a button to check your air pressure, it should be on the main screen like the Atom 2. Also the battery in the watch drains in about 4 months weather being used or not. So be sure and keep an extra battery in your save a dive kit.
There were also a few times in the beginning I switched it to No2 and did not realize it. The connection to the PC through the download cable is not reliable and the software is mediocore, but still a nice bonus. I love the wireless transmitter, no problems with it. Get intregrated air with your BCD and this, and you are streamlined. A lot of great features in a small and easy to use and read computer. If I hadn't of got such a screaming deal on my Atom 1 I would have bought the Atom 2.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Atom Air Integrated Hoseless Dive Watch (Wrist unit only):

Lead dives with the computer everyday, 3-5 dives a day. Computer worked great for first couple of months...I thought great. Then computer floods and goes dead in Month 3. Sent back to LP, they were great and sent me another Atom, brand new at no cost. Once again 3 months into usage of new Oceanic, had battery replaced by Oceanic dealer and then computer repeatedly goes off in the middle of a dive regardless of depth. Very unreliable!!! Works great in beginning then all fails.... Absolutely will not buy an Oceanic computer again.
