Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

The size makes this a great computer for taking on trips so that you can wear it and keep it with you rather than leaving it in your bag anywhere. To the uninformed and even to most other divers it just looks like a wrist watch. It is also a computer that you can buy as a novice just starting out and it will still be of use to you later on as a tech diver for conveniently sized bottom timer. I still use this computer as a bottom timer with my nitek trio and did use it with my arch II. I've used this computer from the warm waters of the southern gulf of mexico to 49 deg waters of springs and lakes of the US. The only real complaint I have about it is that it does not support gas switching, and neither does it's newer version the sub-edy II.

The small size also makes it extremely convenient for someone like myself who also freedives.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

I recently received this dive computer as a gift and used it for a week diving on Bonaire. It took me a little while to figure out the manual and get it set up the way I wanted but once I did there were no problems. I had no problems with the computer...easy to read at depth, alarm was loud enough without being annoying and it's low profile/not bulky. It was great to have all the info about my dives easily accessible. I'd definitely recommend it.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

I had 55 dives on this computer and absolutely loved it. However, the battery died after about 2 years. I expected to get 3-5 years out of a battery. The owners manual says to take it to your local Cressi dealer for a new battery, so I did. They replaced it, and it flooded on the next dive.
Yes, the owners manual is a little hard to follow for English speakers, but the screen shots in the back of the book help a lot.

Good price Good quality

Pros:
Easy To Operate, Easy To Read, good deco algorithm, Lots Of Functions
Describe Yourself:
Advanced Diver

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

I got it just before going to Mexico.
I had no problem to understand how it works, very easy and the user manual has good explanations.
The algorithm is like the one the suunto use(stinger for example) , secure, what I like. I did a deep dive (200 feet) with it and it worked very well.
It is easy to read the informations on the computer and I heard the alarms sounds with no problem.

Service & Delivery comments:

I had a problem with the delivery... I was not there when UPS came to deliver the package and they just left it on the mail box in the street... more than 300 $... not really safe !
Someone took it. And even if I finally got the package back, I was very angry with that...

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

The Cressi Edy wrist computer is a great, compact system that delivers all the functions of full non-air integrated wrist computers. It is very easy to read, supports air and eanx mixes and has visual and audible alarms for ascent warning.

I would recommend the Edy to anyone who likes the reliability of a non-air integrated unit and the ease of a watch/wrist mounted system.

Just the right size
By warm water diverVerified Purchaser from Washington DC on 10/23/2007
Pros:
Easy To Operate, Easy To Read, Lots Of Functions, Reliable
Cons:
Not the best user manual
Best Uses:
Recreation, Warm Water
Describe Yourself:
Advanced Diver, Recreational Diver
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

This computer is the perfect size. Once you start wearing one of these watch sized computers you realize just how big the traditional computers are in comparison. The slim profile is great on the boat. I'm no longer snagging my computer on the BCD when I put it on, getting it caught up in a camera lanyard or inadvertantly hitting it against other gear or the boat/ladder. Personally, I find the size of the numbers easy to read underwater, and I've just recently hit the age where I'm starting to find that I need help reading small items close up, but still the display is easy to read.

My one complaint is the user manual. It is almost easier to pick your way through the screens and try to figure out functionality from there than learning how to use the computer from reading the manual. The English version is clearly a foreign language translation, and their description of the steps is questionable. However, the computer is fairly inuitively obvious, so the good news is that after a short time, the manual isn't necessary.

Comments about Cressi Cressi-Sub Edy Wrist Computer:

Would'nt recommend to a beginner due to not being air-integrated but excellent for primary or back up system for experienced diver. A little hard to read in low vis lakes if you need reading glasses..as with any compact wrist unit. Overall excellent product, good profile recording for review after the dives. Accurate with conservative profiles. Jump in, it does the rest.

Awesome! When you touch the water, it starts automatically in the appropriate dive mode.

Great computer, you don't need to be tech savvy at all to use this. A 12 year old could figure it out and understand it.
