The ZOOP dice computer from Suunto is a wrist-mounted computer that will not only enhance your time under water; it will also help you be a safer diver without breaking the bank. Its ability to operate in two modes (air and Nitrox), safety features (decompressionstop data, audible alarms, and easy-to-read display), and simple menus mean the ZOOP will provide critical dive data when it is needed quickly and accurately. It employs the reduced gradient bubble model (RGBM), which is an algorithm developed to calculate decompression stops; this algorithm is a model used to determine how much gas is accumulated during a dive and how much time is required at your safety stop(s) to safely surface.

Suunto's ZOOP is PC-compatible, so you can easily store your dive data (up to 50 hours) and logs on a PC. It is activated by water, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to start your computer and losing a single dive's valuable data.

Because this computer is wrist mounted, there's never a need to search for your gauge console when you want to check on your depth, maximum bottom time, dive time, and no deco time. All of that information is available at a moment's notice, right on your wrist. Inaddition, the ZOOP's bright phosphorescent display makes seeing your dive data easy during night and day dives.

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "Zoop" Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer:

This is a great low cost dive computer. I have logged over 120 dives with the Zoop and am very happy with it. I also own a D4, but the D4 does not display average depth in the logbook because of the dot matrix dive profile feature, which is not as important to me as average depth on a dive. I actually purchased the more expensive D4 as a replacement because the D4 looks much better on my wrist (wearing on the surface); but I ended up just wearing the D4 on the surface, using it as a backup or loaner to a friend, and diving with the Zoop every day.

I don't have it wrist mounted yet, but i will be soon. Console is just a pain and think it would be easier to read. This computer is really easy to navigate, operate, and use.

I got this computer over Christmas and have done 4 dives since then and it worked perfectly. Really takes the guesswork out and lets you focus on the dive. Everything you need for recreational diving. Highly recommend the free class to use the computer.

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "Zoop" Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer:

This is the same computer as the Gekko. The only difference is this computer supports PC download. However this is because the fact that many people were modifying Gekko computers to enable this feature. So if you're not interested in PC download, or interested in saving a few bucks look at flashing a Gekko (Google "Gekko2Viper").

Overall, this is a rock solid beginner computer. Although it has no backlight the display is bright and large enough to be viewable in every light condition. The menuing is friendly and intuitive. It is the easiest to use computer that I have ever encountered. I would HIGHLY recommend this computer for recreational divers.

This is my backup computer, just in case my Cobra 3 takes a dump on a multi-dive day.

Great price, similar interface to other Suunto products.
