The Suunto D9 is the world's first all-in-one dive computer to integrate a digital compass and wireless tank data reception.

The Suunto D9's compass shows the general direction with a graphical compass rose, as well as the exact bearing with a numerical display. Headings can be stored in Suunto D9's memory for later analysis. The compass can be used on land.

By using Suunto D9's optional wireless transmitter, the diver can also monitor tank pressure and air consumption data by looking at the wrist display. The remaining tank pressure is displayed both numerically and graphically, and an estimation of the remaining air time is given throughout the dive. This allows the diver to monitor the remaining air supply at the same time as he monitors depth and time. Real time air consumption is also stored in the memory.

Suunto D9 can be used with up to three different gas mixes containing 21-100% oxygen, allowing gas switching during the dive. Decompression calculations are based on the Suunto Deep Stop RGBM model, which provides iterative deep stops as an alternative to traditional safety stops. For those intending to go really deep, the maximum depth display is set at 660ft.

In addition to basic dive data, the built-in dive logbook provides a graphical dive profile where real time water temperature and tank pressure data can be analyzed using the wrist top computer.

The beautifully designed Suunto D9 has a titanium housing and bracelet it also includes an USB-compatible PC interface and the Suunto Dive Manager 2.0 software.

D9 rocks!, beware pitfalls though....

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

crist, the machihne said i can't say OMG, ie. OM>F>G... this watch is awesome, i'll post a youtube vid within the week but in short very nice watch, obviously top of the line, beware shortfalls thogh, VERY conservative althorightm. , i'm recreational diver but this watch gives sonmetiomes ridiculous decompression times compared even to a suunto D4 or other divemaster watches. n in either case very fancy, looks great, a few errors, ie. don't put in gauge mode and go swi8mming, it wil lock u out for days., looks stunnigng, surpirsed a bit that \titanium strap scratched up a lot with regular usare,.

Basically an excellent watch 4 rich people like me but if you don't need wireless tank pressure save ur money and get cheaper model, neverthekless a wristtop computer really does change diving, really easy and assessible, happy bubbles...

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

This is definately a winner from Suunto. I love this watch. The only thing I didn't like about this computer/watch is that sometime it's hard to read. Unlike Oceanic Veo 100 which is a size of a hockey puck, this Suunto is a watch size. So, sometime during a dive with low light condition, it could be hard to read the display. During night dive it's no problem, it has the indigro light whicj lit up the whole watch. Love this watch and would not trade it for anything else. I just wish that Suunto could make the computer/watch a little cheaper.

Excellent computer - bit conservative

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

Suuntos have a strong reputation for dive computers and the D9 doesn't disappoint. It is small enough to use as a regular watch (OK, it looks a little bling, but it is alright). The gas switching is a nice feature for divers who may go Tec one day. I haven't tried the wireless Air Integrated function so cannot comment on it.

Only two negatives: the menu system is still find counter intuitive. Maybe I will get used to it, but at the moment it irritates me.

Second: it is pretty conservative. I have a Sherwood profile attached to my SPG, and come the end of the dive, the profile is showing a much longer NDL than the Suunto. But at least you're safe!

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

Using the wireless transmitter I still carry a traditional pressure gauge, good thing as on our first dive I lost my link trying to get the gf's set up, the computer still logged the dive (sans pressures). After I got the hang of it it was easy as cake. Setting bookmarks and having the compass were very nice features as well.

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

This is a good dive computer...no doubt about it. It appears to be well made, and has every function that most recreational users could dream of. keeping its form factor as small as possible inevitably leads to compromises...it's not that the key info is too small, it's just that you have to really look at the display to read the info...larger displays (such as uwatec) mean that a quick glance is all that is needed to know how the dive is progressing.
The user interface is not intuitive...there is no way that you could use this computer without reading the manual first (not that I would ever recommend using a dive computer without reading the instructions)...
Biggest gripe is the pairing procedure...The Suunto does not remember the transmitter code, so every time you change tanks you have to put the D9 next to the transmitter so that it locks on....

Service & Delivery comments:

I'm really a big fan of Leisurepro. Great service, no quibble returns.... Frankly, Leisurepro's own warranty is just as good as an OEM's...keep it up :-)

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

Performance wise, it is outstanding, it performs really good. The air integration works like a charm and the alarm really help you focus on the enjoyment of the dive...plus it looks really nice.
I would give it a full 5 stars if it wasnt for the USB connectivity. I have tried everything to get my dives downloaded to my PC, but cannot. Even with Suunto Support. It seems there is a high number of cases with compatibility. I even tried in 3 different PCs.
Maybe it is the USB cable that is not working, I will try replacing it. If it wasnt for that, it would take all the gold.

This piece of Bling not only looks great but is incredibly powerful too. I've taken it to 90ft+ depths and the functionality and output are accurate and the computer is a great diving companion. It's lightweight and the compass feature is crucial. Also, you can review each dive on the watch right after you exit the water. AWESOME!

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

I have been using this dive computer ever since I became a divemaster (PADI). It is readily able to sync up and I have yet to have an issue. Over 25 dives on it, in regions ranging from New England, to Seattle, to Utila. The functionality has just worked. Final note, Suunto is known for their conservative dive profiles, but I welcome the safety over dive time. You can't go wrong with this, plus at these prices, very much worth it.

Go enjoy the dive and know your information is simply a wrist turn away.

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

D9's performace is great. the compass function is a nice addition to the already complete and advanced, yet simple to use functions.

As with every new dive computer you have got to get used to the buttons location, specially when upgrading from a larger wrist computer (I used to dive with Oceanic Data Trans Plus).

Altough it is one of the priciest dive computers (smaller is always more expensive) it is owrth every Dollar spent.

Comments about Aqualung Suunto "D9" Titanium Bracelet Hoseless Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer with Transmitter:

I fell in love with the D9 as soon as it came out. It is easy to use, reliable and obviously the first "all in one" computer available. When Suunto released images of the D9 Titanium Strap, many of my customers, (and me) just wanted it... NOW! And it does look amazing in real life as well as the picture. However, there is only one downside, and this is that they have purposly left out a strap extender! Crazy!! :-( The Suunto Stinger Titanium had one and it was perfect whether you had a 3mm, 5mm, or 7mm suit or even a drysuit, it handled them all. I have contacted Suunto to ask why and they have said it was a decision they made and they are not going to release one. I still bought one and so have several of my customers, however only 40% of those people on my waiting list decided to buy once they found out it didn't have the extender. Please Suunto, realise there is more money to be made by selling (even as an add-on option) an extender for this, the ultimate Suunto Computer ever made! It is a status symbol, but it still has to be used in the real world. Having to remove the titanium strap and attaching the rubber one back on just to have a dive is too much for 60% of my customers, make some more money and build one!!
