Full-featured Nitrox capable Dive Computer perfect as a low-profile primary instrument or a back-up. The MANTA is a powerful and versatile new sports watch, ideal for divers, free divers and those that just want to look like one. A unique combination of quality, function and style, the MANTA is perfect on its own or as a backup to any of our other Dive Computer models.

Advanced Free Dive Mode
The Manta provides accurate depth and time with an amazing 1-second sampling rate for subsequent PC download and analysis. Dive Time is displayed in seconds and minutes. Custom audible alarms include Elapsed Dive Time, Countdown Timer and (3) Independent Max Depth Alarms. The Manta is the first Free Diving Computer to calculate and track Nitrogen Tissue Loading, allowing you to switch between SCUBA dives and Free Dives on the same dive day.

Advanced Wristwatch Functions
The Manta is an advanced digital wristwatch featuring a 1/100 second chronograph (stopwatch) with l ap timer, 24 hour countdown timer, daily alarm, alternate time zone with date, 12/24 hour clock, and OceanGlo¦ Backlight.

Dive Time Remaining
Dive Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes, considering Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, and automatically displays whichever allows less time.

Oversized Digits
Take the AERIS challenge: When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100 feet?

Audible Alarms with Flashing LED Warning Light
The Manta features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder.

Audible Alarm Acknowledgement
Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with your exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the Manta's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. We know what you're thinking. "That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" We thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop.

Haven't had the Manta out for signifcant testing yet. Preliminay impression is that the unit is sturdy, easy to read and has all necessary functionality.

Instructions difficult to understand. The online-class and simulator help a bit however using the unit still requires moving up a steep learning curve.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

This computer is really user friendly- easy to work, clear manual, etc. I really liked it (while it lasted)- I had it set to go into dive mode automatically after descending 5ft, the screen was easy to switch from your dive info to time/temp while diving. There are options for dive planning, air mix (nitrox), and a clear nitrogen loading bar. Overall great experience...however- The depth gauge stopped functioning in the middle of a dive. At the surface I cleaned the sensors exactly as mentioned in the manual. About 3 weeks later the computer shut off completely (no low batt warnings, etc) and hasn't turned back on since. I only had/used the computer about 3 months with about 60 dives logged. I plan on sending it back to the manufacturer, but dont know if I would rely on this computer again...

the mode settings (button combination) on this computer are really bad. if you want to set the time, date or a stopwatch it's super easy! Otherwise look out. On several trips i accidentally pressed the wrong buttons and put it in "gauge" mode, which locks the watch for 24 hours!

I bought this as a backup to my more complex Sherwood dive computer. We dive a lot on vacations and found it important to have a back up for safety reasons. This dive computer exactly fit the bill. It is small, easy to use and read, and also served as my regular watch for the trip. I routinely told my friends on the trip how much I really liked this dive computer.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

I believe that the best way to use this watch, is with the water activation on. By having this function on, you do need to worry if the watch is in Dive mode or not.It will automatically set itself in Dive mode after 5 feet. In this mannor, your watch will react the way you expect it under water and also it will keep a log of your dives. I saw other comments where, divers forgot to set the watch before the dive or was not sure if the watch was able to record the dives. They probably were in Free mode.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

The Aeris Manta has been one of the best investments I've made in diving. Learning the setup was somewhat difficult however it was very easy to operate it once I learned it. I would recommend a little time playing around with it before your first dive. The Manta has many features that are found on computers twice as expensive. If you would like a really good dependable dive computer with all the necessary features at reasonable price, this is the computer for you. I would have given it 5 stars but I have not used many other dive computers as a fair comparison

Service & Delivery comments:

I had originally orderd a dive computer from another manufacturer which I found out did not have the freedive mode I wanted. I contacted LeisurePro and explained that I would like to order the Aeris Manta and return the other dive computer. There was absolutley no hassle at all. I sent the other computer back and had my new dive computer within 3 days. I really would like to support my LDS but LeisurePro makes it difficult with their outstanding service, prices and quality.

I bought 2 of these for me and my wife. Used them on about 8 dives so far and they've worked well. It is not much bigger than a normal wrist watch and has all the functionality we need as recreational divers. The manual is absolutely terrible, though. It makes it much more confusing than it needs to be. The computer is great though!

Diving Type:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

Menus are not simple to get into the first time you use it, you will definitely need to take your time with the manual. I strongly recommend to use it on wet activation mode and work your way from there but if you buy the overpriced cable to interface it with the PC the ease of configuration improves a 100%

However when in the water it does what it is supposed to. Alarms are clear and loud, ascend and descent alarms work when they should. LED flashes, backlit makes it easy to read on dark places and the display is big and all reading are easy to read at all times. The computer itself is just about the size of a standard dive watch.

I liked it very much.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

This is my first computer. I just used it on a recent trip to Mexico. The instructions are very difficult to read and understand. Many pages of descriptions of the functions (over and over again) but very little on how to actually use it. Plan a dive ???? How do you do that? The directions supposedly go through the procedures but there are no examples to know how to actually do it. My take is this computer manual, like some home computer manuals, you have to know how to use the computer before you can understand the manual. It did record my dives but I am not sure it recorded all the information because I couldn't understand how to set it up for the first one, plan a dive ???? I would probably recommend this computer but buyer beware. The manual is not going to give you much help in its use. So, either find someone that has used a computer before that maybe can help you or try others before buying this one.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

I bought this for my wife, we researched and decided this was the best bang for our buck... It has done all we have asked and then some...

The only issue she has is the lack of a constant on backlight for night diving. I am not sure of this feature myself, because I haven't read "her" manual. But when my black Manta shows up in a few days, I will be finding that information out for myself. I ordered one, just because I needed a new watch... So why not get a new dive computer that is small enough to be a watch.

Bottom Line:

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

The Manta dive computer has all the functions that I as an average recreational diver can think of. The display is easy to read although because it offers so much functionality it is a bit tricky to learn how to use the different functions. The user manual is hard to understand although it is through and has usually answered my questions when I go back to find answers. It is important to have the dive mode set correctly before the first dive of a multi-dive trip and with so many options that can be a bit tricky. I would certainly recommend it to others as it seems to be a good dive computer for the price.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Manta Scuba and Freediving Wrist Computer:

This watch included everything I needed on my most recent trip to Bonaire. This is my first dive computer, but I found it to be everything I could need or want. The form factor is nice and small (could just be a watch... not a bulky dive computer). The warnings were clear and audible. The watch was very easy to use (great interface). I recommend this to anyone who wants a reasonably inexpensive dive computer that will do Nitrox, has a backlight, and will connect to a computer (my three advanced criterion when purchasing).
