Introducing the ATMOS ai, Aeris' new air integrated console. The Atmos ai is a very small, compact console; yet, the information is displayed with large, easy to read digits. It is available with or without a compass; with or without a quick disconnect. Essentially, it is an ATMOS 2 with airtime remaining!
The Air Time Remaining feature calculates current depth, tank pressure, your breathing rate, ascent time, and decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. The ATMOS ai continually displays Air Time Remaining via a numerical bar graph in addition to cylinder pressure. You may also display Air Time Remaining in oversized digits at any time with the press of a button. Dive Time Remaining, like Air Time Remaining provides a 'real' number in minutes. This calculation combines Air Time Remaining, Nitrogen and Oxygen absorption, displaying whichever allows less time.
Is it a good idea to check your computer before entering the water? You bet. Could you forget to activate your computer? Sure. The ATMOS ai features push-button or automatic activation, triggered by water contact. A benefit of push-button activation is easily verifying operation and cylinder pressure, but in case you forget, or simply choose not to activate your computer, it can be assimple as jumping in the water. The ATMOS ai features a variety of system and user-customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potentialdanger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder.
The ATMOS ai acts simply as an 'Air' computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. As your training and experience grow, the ATMOS ai is designed to grow with you, being easily programmed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 50%. Decompression theory can be trusted only as far as it has been demonstrated by actual test dive data. In 1987 a unique series of experiments were conducted by Diving Science and Technology (DSAT). Commissioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), these Doppler ultrasound monitored human experiments conducted by Dr. Michael Powell produced the most comprehensive data set that exists for recreational divers to this day. These data were used to validate the PADI Recreational Dive Planner and are the basis of the algorithm used in all AERIS Dive Computers.
AERIS Dive Computers are designed with color-coded bar graphs; green, yellow andred. These graphs monitor three very important diving parameters; nitrogen accumulation, oxygen loading and your personal ascent rate. Pixels build up in each of these color-coded areas to give you a quick, easy reference of these parameters. Proper monitoring of these graphs allows you to select the personal degree of conservatism you wish to build into each dive, putting you in control of your margin of safety.
These are just some of the functional features of the Aeris ai Computer others are Automatic Safety Stop Prompt, Interactive Menu System, Date and Time Stamp, User Friendly Mode Icons, Graphic User Interface, Automatic Altitude Compensation, Diver-Replaceable Batteries, Battery Hot Swap, 24-Hour Fly Countdown and Calculated De-saturation Time, Variable Ascent Rate Indicator, Depth-Dependent Ascent Rate, Backlighting, 20 Dive On-Unit Log Book, Advanced Dive Planning Simulator, Extended Range Gauge Mode, and Split Set Mode Access.
One of the most important skills in diving is navigation and for accurate navigation, you need a compass that is not only accurate but easy to read and use. With the AERIS side reading compass, the diver is able to hold the compass level and still be able to easily read the headings through the cut out window on the side. Quick responding and accurate compass large ratchet bezel, high visibility lubber line, direct and reciprocal index points, all three gauges have luminescent dials for ease of reading in low light or night diving conditions.
To add protection to your computer when transporting your equipment, or when youneed your computer to log your dives without having to drag your entire regulator around to do so, the Aeris ai Computer is equipped with a quick disconnect feature. Quickly disconnect the high pressure hose of computer from the high pressure port of your regulator with no tools required. QD is Nitrox compatible.

I'm somewhat new to diving and this is my first dive computer. The manual was very helpful and informative and so I was at ease the using the DC for the first time. The display is very easy to understand. It was also very interesting to be able to "see" your dive after it was downloaded to the computer. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and the selection of this particular DC.

The computer works well and is easy to use. The instructions are very clear. The features are similar to other air integrated computers. The optional computer download cable is a bit spendy. LeisurePro had the absolute best price when I bought this computer. It came nicely assembled with the reg/octo/1st stage package I purchased. It is compact and stows very well. User replaceable batteries are easy to replace.
Very prompt delivery in the middle of thw worst storms across the nation. The tracking worked well and the products were delivered the day promised. All of the products were well packed and there was no damage.

I love this computer. Its biggest advantage is its readability. I am getting older and need reading glasses for any close-up work. I can very easily read this day or night (it has a great back light). The alarm is easy to hear and has on more than one occasion reminded me to slow down my ascent.
It has the draw back of being based on a bit more aggressive dive profile, but I have compensated for this by staying out of the "yellow"
It is compact and durable, with good battery. Best thing I ever bought. I'm buying one for each of my kids.

First item was DoA. [...] I got a replacement and it works great.
Delivery was quick but found their hours of operation a little frustrating. For instance, I got my DoA item on thursday, but did not get a returned message till the following monday as they are closed from thurs 5pm to mon am.

I brought this item for my 11 year old son.
He has no problems using it.
For a recreational diver, this has all the features that you might want.
I would strongly recommend an air integrated unit, and this has all the features that you need for a good price.
It is functionally equivalent to the Sherwood Wisdom, except for a modified display.
We've used it on 20+ salt and freshwater dives without a problem.

I have about 50 dives on this unit now. Air time remaining feature is the best, calculates better then units costing hundreds more. Planning feature while changing between air and nitrox mixes on multiple dives at same levels or at several levels is flawless. I have owned 2 other computers and never would buy them again but would buy this one or other aeris units before any other brands.

Computer is great. Calculations are conservative. Easy to use. Don't like the compass attached though. Gets scratched up easily. The retractor holder/clip ring that allows the computer to be attached to a retractor or lanyard is flimsy, broke after a few dives. Improvised with a Dive rite octo holder stretched over the compass base. Love the computer though.

This is the computer I always use, even when doing planned deco dives, but I have to put it into "gauge mode". The "quich disconnect" is great on live aboards, leave your gear on the dive deck and bring your computter inside to do your log. It does have the ability to connect to a PC and keep an electronic log book. The only way this computer could be improved is if they gave it the ability to do planned deco dives with out having to use it in only gauge mode. FYI .... I own 3 of these computers and all work fine, the oldest is around 5 years old. All were bought from LeisurePro, so they might need to revised their description and remove the word "NEW". :-)

This computer works well and gives you the same information as more expensive computers. I like the orientation of the computer with the hose off the left corner, when you hold it up it is just right. I use a retractor clipped to the right front of my BC and the setup is perfect. Being able to see both time left on the air you have and bottom time at depth, with credit for multi-level diving is great. Warning beeps are loud enough to hear but not annoying like some other computers.

I love this computer. The display digits are large and easy to read and it is compact for the size of the display. Putting the high pressure hose on the lower left corner just makes great ergonomic sense making it simple to grab and read. OK, so as divers go, I'm a novice, but as far as I can see, this computer has plenty of room for me to grow.
I also purchased the PC connection. What can I say, I'm a computer geek, and downloading & graphing your dives is just a bit of post-dive fun and interest for me! That being said, I'm not overly impressed with the Aeris Dive Log software, but the download from the computer was flawless, and I guess the poor Dive Log software is not a reflection on the computer at all.
My two complaints about this device are:
1) I got the quick disconnect (GREAT option!), but before I used it the first time, I wanted to take good care of it so I stored it in a neoprene pocket that I had from an old cell phone. BIG mistake. when I took it out to use it, I found that the pocket had depressed the bottom button, turning on the computer AND the display illumination. When I got to my dive site... FLAT battery! It is at times like this when after you have kicked yourself up and down the beach for your own stupidity, you fall on your knees and thank Aeris for USER CHJANGABLE BATTERIES! A quick visit to a local pharmacy & I was off diving! (Yes, now I carry a spare battery with me!).
2) I think that the plastic "D" ring on the lower right intended to clip this to your BC looks kinda flimsy. Time may prove me wrong, but I don't expect this to last too long.
Overall, I think that these 2 "defects" are small, but enough to ding the overall rating from a 5 to a 4.
This was my first purchase from Leisurepro. I was apprehensive at first as I just could not see how a ligitimate outfit could offer such great prices. My apprehension was completely blown away. What a great service from frequent communications letting me know where the order was in the process to a delivery that arrived ahead of schedule. It was planned to arrive on a Monday, but arrived the Friday before so, yes, you guessed it, I took it diving that weekend :)

This is an air intergrated unit, to buy a dive computer that wasnt air intergrated is madness, knowing your botton time reamaining & air available for the odd dive stop is a MUST. This unit cost only a little more then either old fashioned guages or bitza digital combos! Wish the addon compass was cheaper & i recomend this addon (LP fit it for you) so its ready to play with immediatly.
This is 2 gas (nitrox) ready & large, easy to read digital info for the most part. The manual is basic & takes some figuren out. But the 2 button design works well & within the hour i had 90% of everything worked out.
So get the ARIES compass, go into local the dive shop with the manual & questions before first use if your confused, do a NITROX course for xmas & enjoy the best dam dive computer for half of what the others charge.
But this unit isnt for extreem diving, when you surface, put it in your dive pocket before handing your gear upto whoever is collecting it so it wont get draged & scratched (that goes for your octo/regs too) & it will stay looking like new.
I hold my computer in my left hand when diving, tucked against my chest but the use of a retractor for an extra couple of bucks is worth it if you need or want both hands free when diving.
Professional, tri mix, deep divers look elsewhere but for everyone else (thats 95%) then then this is the rig for you!!!!!

Although I really love this computer, it's not made to take abuse. I took it (brand new) on 7 boat dives in Belize. After the first day of diving, (2 dives) I noticed that the plastic display shield got pretty scratched up, as did the push button next to the display and the rim of the compass. Good thing you can replace the plastic display shield and the compass.
Don't let this computer hang free! Stuff it in your BC pocket between dives, and be sure to tell your dive master to be careful with it when he assembles your tank.
I think my computer got beat up between dives after giving it to the boat hand before getting into the boat. It probably scraped against the boat. So now I stuff the computer in my BC pocket before giving up my tank between dives.
I also wish that the log stored the amount of air in your tank both before and after the dive. No biggie though.
It's very sensitive on ascent speed. It was very easy trigger the alarm on my ascents... sometimes a deep breath would cause me to ascend a couple feet too quickly.

Its verry easy to read and the fact that its ergonomicly corect its so easy to read and to hold in your hand no more turnig over to read gages on other side every thing is up front really big # and alarms are easy to hear and understand liked that it came with a laminated flash card to show you how to retrieve dive info!

I have nothing bad to say about this computer. It is easy to use, easy to read, and has all functions needed for the most demanding diver. The one drawback is the design of the clip used to secure the computer. It is very unsecure.

I really loved this computer. I have had a total of 4 different computers over the years and this one was my favorite. It was a good size. Not too large and not too small. The numbers on the face are large enough to read even if you need reading glasses. Unfortunately, it flooded after I had it for a year and a half.

Make sure you get the compass & quick disconnect for flawless operation. Then, all information & navigation for a dive is visible at a glance. Easily adapts to air or nitrox usage. User can change battery in seconds. Unit is not big & unwieldly.

Bought this computer and have nothing bad to say about it. Easy to use, hold and read. quick disconnect is awesome.
Did however notice one small discrepancy though, with the pressure reading (air integration) compared to my back up gauge, looks like it was off 200 lbs. I think that the computer is being conservative. That's ok. better safe than sorry.

I have owned this computer for over 5 years and never had a problem with it! Extremely easy to use diving with NITROX and air. After the dives, unhook it and take it with you. No more leaving your computer to get stolen while gear is drying or to get banged around loading in the boat. I wouldn't give up my air integrated computer for anything! Hundeds of dives and just one bttery replacement!

Just got back from Cancun (we beat Dean thankfully), the ai worked wonderfully. Shallow reef dives, deep reef dives (Wall at Cozumel went to 110 ft), shipwreck dive, cave dives (Cenotes), we did it all and the ai preformed flawlessly. I picked up my advanced open water cert while there, Nitrox is next. Great computer, easy to use, no problems whatsoever.

Bought the Atmos AI before my trip to Hawaii. The quick disconnect works great if you want to transport alone in your carry-on luggage or keep on your desk attached to a computer. Large, offset screen comes readily into view when checking the numbers underwater. Great features and very easy to operate after a quick run through of the manual. Can't wait to get out and use it again.
