Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD,:

I bought this item after reading the many positive reviews on it and I found that I agreed with the other reviewers on all counts. It was easy to pack, easy to use and overall an excellent product. The integrated weight pockets in front and back made it very easy to get optimal buoyancy control and I loved the additional safety of the dual tank strap (I had a very bad experience in the past where my dad's single strap malfunctioned in deep water and rough surf so this was important to me). The one problem I have had is that one of the knobs on one of the well-placed dump valves came off. Haven't figured out yet how to best repair it.

Very very happy with this purchase. This BC gave me everything I wanted. Integrated weights, lots of pocket space, steal clips to hang everything I could possibly want to. The distribution of weights made for excellent buoyancy. It has 2 tank straps which make sure your tank stays with you. Took it on Cozumel and had no problems whatsoever.

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD,:

When I started diving a little over a year ago, my dive instructor purchased this BC because it was big enough to fit. After I tried it on and had class that day, I bought it from my instructor. I have since dropped over 20lbs and have been able to take out the cumber-bun extension. It would be an understatement to say that this BC is comfortable. This will last me a good long time because of it's durability. Graet for beginners or the advanced to master diver. This BC will hold the weight it takes to get a big guy under water.

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD,:

Only used the BC a handful of times since purchasing it the last week of May this year and so far so good. Fits like a glove and the integrated weights are a real nice upgrade from wearing a belt! Also, the fact that air can be released from both shoulders and the bottom right hip valve is GREAT!. No matter your orientation if you begin to ascend there is always a valve that is accessible to drain extra air from the BC. This product has a very heavy duty/durable feel and design so I don't suspect I'll be needing another BC for a while. Recommend to anyone looking for a quality product at a great price.

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery was very prompt and had nothing but a good experience purchasing the equipment online. Nothing has broken yet so I can't comment on any aspect of returns or making warranty claims.

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD,:

Lots of pockets and D-rings, easy to adjust and twin tank straps hold my tank firmly. I passed on the optional accessory pack but I did buy the retractors separately as the BC has special grommets on the right shoulder and the left hip where these can be stored internally with only the extendable lanyards peeking out thru the grommets.

The intergrated weight system is almost impossible to replace while wearing the BC until the fabric gets broken in with a few uses, but since there isn't a problem removing the weights this is a minor inconvinence, not a safety issue. You can always go in a little light with a new setup and slip a little extra weight in the roomy zippered side pockets w/o much effort.

I never liked cam straps and I ordered a couple of "ScubaPro" style SS open buckles tank straps for my AVID. This is a personal preference not a condemnation of the AVID's tank straps.

Comments about Sherwood Sherwood Avid CQR2 BCD,:

This is a great BCD. I have talked to multiple instructors that recommended it and that is the reason I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did and now that I am becomming a MSDT I understand why they said what they did. It has good sized pockets, holds the tank securely, very well constructed and has lots of extras.
