One key safety feature for any diver is familiarity with one's gear. By wearing the same gear dive after dive, you don't have to think about where each feature is located. The Passport BCD's lightweight and low-profile make it ideal for divers who travel and want to bring as much of their own gear as possible with them, instead of having to rent an unfamiliar BCD on-site. The Passport's mesh carrying bag serves a double duty as extra lumbar support while wearing the BCD. The quick-release integrated weight system holds up to 20 pounds of weight.

The integrated traction back pad means you'll be comfortable throughout your dive, as well as before and after. The traction pad keeps the Passport from shifting on your body as you move; once you don the BCD and secure the straps, it will stay put no questions asked.

Comments about Seaquest Seaquest Passport BC:

My husband has had his for 4 years, I've had mine for 3. Velcro on his pockets is just about gone (I rescued a weight pocket of his while diving on Lanai last year). Mine still looks brand new, but then he dives about 2X more than me and was using his travel BC for lobster diving here in FL (which he does almost every weekend when it is season, so that's a lot of dives he put on the BC).
Good BC for the price. Great for travel. Lightweight and the mesh bag can carry all my gear except fins!

Comments about Seaquest Seaquest Passport BC:

MAJOR ISSUE
We bought 2 of these and both were torn after only 7 dives although we are careful with our equipment. The material is very thin and not sturdy enough to resist the rubbing that takes place in the back where it is sawn / glued to the plastic piece that holds the tank in place.
Both BCD's had the same defect.
Was used in drift dives / moderate to strong currents (Palau). Although external material was torn, internal part was OK and continued to operate properly avoiding to create any potential safety issue (at least for the first 20 dives, we returned the BCD's since)
SMALLER ISSUES
No front clip on the chest (not a big deal), no pressure valve release at the bottom of the BCD (you need to release air from the top only, we can deal with that though...). Weight belt velcro not very sturdy (tends to release on its own if bumped on the boat ladder when exiting rough seas)
POSITIVE
Lightweight & compact, great to travel
Maybe we were unlucky and had 2 defectuous products but I will buy another model / brand. Store offered a store credit but no refund although BCD's were purchased less than 3 weeks ago.
