I recently had back fusion surgery and was looking for a BC with a little extra padding for the back. I found this BC and absolutely love it. It is extremely comfortable, stable, light weight, and easy to pack.

In over 25 years of diving I have tried just about every type of BC including back inflation etc.
While I think the Scubapro Classic BC is the finest BC ever made it is very difficult BC to travel with.
It is heavy as well as bulky. After trying a Sherwood Tortuga on a live aboard trip. I found it unstable with steel tanks. I decided to try the Equator. Wow, I was really surprised. It is nearly as stable as the Classic, packs in half the space and about half the weight. I could pack the BC, fins, regulator set with Miflex hoses, mask and boots in a hard side carry on with room for a change of clothes and shave kit!

The only missing item is a handle to lift the BCD, kind of awkward trying to carry without one

I have use it only in the pool so far but I am very satisfy with it. It's light and not to bulky so perfect for travel bcd. It also fits perfectly on top of my drysuit for backup buoyancy
