Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
It's perfectly made, dumps air fast and easy no trapped air problems. Easy to get on and off,and adjust. Plus the weights never come loose. I can go on and on!
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
You can not buy a better jack BC. Plus the comfort, strength, and durability is the best!! The dump valves are positioned perfectly for slow or fast air dumps, just to name one feature. I could sit here and write a book on all the things on why you should buy this BC, but the best thing is I can find one bad thing to write about.
I can only say one thing about Leisurepro "PERFECT" You can't find a better Dive Shop out there. I want to THANK all you guys at Leisurepro!! you are the best.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Master Diver that just returned from Belize dive. Hit Blue Hole at 135ft, some drifting, and other dives in the 50-90 ft range with group. Carried extra weights to stay down when tanks are at 400 PSI and rescue/safety gear and found this BCD capable of lift, sufficient clips and rings for cameras etc. Excellent balance and comfort, very easy on/off. This is my third BCD and I love it!

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Great BC. It is comfortable, I barely notice it is on in the water, it can accept dual-tanks, it has tons of d-rings, and pockets.
Fast delivery. I needed some service on this (to replace a cap) and it was done within a week.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
This BCD is constructed with a heavy fabric. It's very tough and durable. I was thorwing it on the boat and nothing was rip. Very tough. Have lot of pockets. Definately one of the best BCD I have ever own.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
This is the first BC that I bought - I am of the belief to buy high quality gear as my first gear for three reasons:
1) I hate to rebuy gear because the initial set was the cheapest
2) I want to be comfortable and have great features
3) I want to be safer since being a novice I know less then an experienced diver so I need great gear
The first BC I used was the older and cheaper one utilized during dive training. When I first asked the dive shop owner what is the first piece of gear I should buy he recommended a BC since maintaining balance in water is one of the harder skills for people to master (also one required to get certified).
I bought this particlar BC because my dive instructor had one and highly recommended it. It is working well for me, and I love all of the buckles, easy access pouches, and dump valve locations/access. It is extremely comfortable to wear
The top right dump valve broke on the second dive. LeisurePro repaired it. I only paid the shipping to LeisurePro. I have used it three times since then (Cancun Mexico) and it is working just fine.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
This BCD is durable & comfortable but too heavy and bulky. The very large pockets do not self drain so BCD is very heavy when you stand up in surf or climb up the ladder of a boat, until the water slowly drains out. The cummerbund + all the elastic straps lost their elasticity after 2 years. Low pressure inflator leaked air after 2 years of use, about 400 dives. It is sealed so must be replaced. [...]

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Works amazing! Trim pockets in back, utility pockets on the sides, tons of room in the main pockets, tons of stainless steel d-rings, tons of dumps, and an amazing camband! Only thing different I did to this BCD was switched the tank strap for the Apollo Bio-Tank Lock strap.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Love the handle in back. Great product

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I researched hundreds of BC's for days on tens of websites looking for the best one. This piece of equipment has it all. Sweeping reviews, durability, storage capacity, lots of velcrow back ups on all the weight pockets. Has room to stuff the kitchen sink in one pocket. I can dive for shark teeth without all my acessories ( screens, trough, camera, etc ) hanging all over the place. Material is bulletproof. Dries fast. Very comfortable for a big BC. Sizing is a little large though but not a problem. No tank slips yet with many many beach dives in tough surf. Very smooth adjusting on bouyancy control and holds you perfectly upright on the surface and flat as a pancake over a reef or wreck. I expect to be able to enjoy this Rolls Royce for at least 20 yrs. Pop the extra money for the backup reg/ inflator from Oceanic. Well worth the money. I guarrantee you will enjoy this "high end" BC.
Leisure Pro is quite possibly the best online store you will find.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
OK....This BC is really got it all....That's good AND bad. Lots of lift and D rings, but it is really really bulky and heavy. It performed well in the water. Easy to trim, but a pain to pack! Really a good BC, but just felt too winter coat like (if that makes any sense). I just traded this [...] for a Seaquest Black Diamond...We'll see how that goes.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I bought this BC to replace my BC that just didn’t fit. I happened to try on the LX at a dive shop and immediately I could feel the difference in fit. It has plenty of D-rings to hang cameras and stuff. The only issue I have is that the internal air bladder is very thin. This could be an issue if I just tossed it around but with careful handling it should last a long time. This is a good BC and I recommend it.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Very well designed and thought out.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I have found that as a traditional jacket B.C. that the materials and fit of this one was designed by a diver. I use mine for recovery and recreation, works in both worlds.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
My only complaint is the dumpable weight pouches have way too much velcro (three places on each one); other than that this is a great BCD.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Regularly dive to 35-40 meters, really comfortable BCD, 4 pockets for storage, plenty of add on rings, smoothly inflation yet comfortable to wear 'down below'.
Nice all round BCD
Customer service via email, quick, accurate and very friendly, and highly professional.
Delivery from New York to Australia was only 5 business days (supurb service and not just the freight carrier), all round great.
Product arrived well packed and secured, highly recommend leisure pro again and again as we are purchasing many more items.
Thanks L.pro..
Gary.

An excellent BC. Very durable and has D-Rings galore to grow with. I love the various pockets on the BC and for a Jacket Style it is very clean in the water. This is my third BC in eleven years and will be with me for a long time!

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
The BC works great, with lots of lift.Love all the D hooks for attachment of gadets.Lots of storage in large pockets.I ordered a 2XL for coldwater diving in drysuit, being a larger person.I think a XL would have been plenty big.Thank goodness for lots of adjustment.Bottom line is this is a great BC.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I had this sitting in my closet while I used another brand (I won't mention) but I decided to give it a try. I immediately noticed a difference in my buoyancy control and I'm saving more air because of it. I don't like the tank strap very well but it does have a carry handle which comes in really handy. The two utility pockets and two side pockets are great. I can't comment on durability because I've only dove it four times since last week but time will tell.
Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
Diving Equipment is a personal thing. It's all about comfort and what feels right to you.
In my opinion this is one of the best BCDs on the market.

A great BCD for the Professional instructor looking for excellent lift capacity and plenty of places to attach things. Extra weight pouches come in handy for those students needing extra weight.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I own this and have done about 20 dives with it. My biggest complaint is that the main pocket zippers are really high up. If you need to get anything and it fall deep into the back corner ... well you're just about SOL.

Comments about Oceanic Oceanic Probe LX BC:
I am a REC diver, pure and simple. I have about 25 dives on this BC since November 06 when I purchased it, and I couldnt be happier. I moved up from my scubapro accent NT.
While it seams people are ok with how the industry is "bulking" up BC's lately and everyone wants more gadgets than they can use, this is a solid, traditional jacket BC that performs well as far as 80ft, which is all I can attest to since thats as deep as I've been with it. Oceanic does a great job of giving you something super tough, dependable and "classic", meaning things are streamlined and doing what they are supposed to, rather than playing you up to marketing.
What I like most is the pockets: I can fit my nikon point and shoot, in its ikelite case, in a front pocket. I drag that camera along for the just in case moments, and love that I can get rid of it when I need to. This also has 2 rear pockets, which are pretty big. I keep a sausage in one, and my old mask in the other. But the best part is you have all this space on you, and dont feel like you are lugging around a gigantic BC. That brings me to my next point:
This isnt a lightweight either. In terms of BC's Id say its average, and about the same size as my old SP Accent. I travel with it just fine, and even though its larger its one of the most comfortable jackets I've ever worn, including against oceanics ultralight categories. While Im not sure exactly what "bioflex" is, I have to say that the BC is extremely comfortable and dare I say soft, even against the skin.
Ultimately, the premium goal would be to feel as if you had nothing on at all, and Im certainly not concious of this BC while diving.
Everything else is where it should be. As noted, it was a little hard to adjust the cumberbund, as the room it gives you doesnt seem completely proportional with the shoulder sizes. However, it gets adjusted, and of course once its in place it stays. I took some advice of ordering a size down from what I expected, and it was a smart decision. LP can help you with that, I'm sure.
The tank band clasp is polypropelene, as compared to my previous steel one, but I havent had any trouble with hold, as long as you know how to strap your tank in ;-) I find it helps to strap, hold, ratchet one more time and then close, just for that extra tight fit.
Personally, I think there are tons of D-rings on this thing, but some people think you cant ever have enough, so you wont be dissapointed here either. As for other "marketable features" I would have to say that the weight system lives up to the hype and is both very secure and easy to work with. Handing off my weights is as simple as a click, and I prefer the peace of mind a locking pouch gives me.
Last but not least, the inflator is a bit sensitive: it took about 2 dives for me to get used to. In all fairness, I was a little overweight on the first dive, so it could have been me.
I chose to add the oceanic dive knife to the BC mount point. Its out of the way but always in one place, and while I've never ever used a knife in a couple hundred dives, it doesnt hurt to be there, mounted to the BC. Oceanic chose not to go with the Paul Dundee model either, which is a plus in my book!
I would highly recommend this BC to anyone looking to do heavy REC diving, or is simply concerned with getting a no hassles no worries piece of gear. I do take care of my gear obsessively, but I also put a lot of wear on it in short periods. I have to vacation to dive, so when I do I really put my gear through the motions. I have a lot of confidence in my prove lx that it wont be letting me down.
At any price, this BC gives you best of breed among the current jackets, and you will get a solid, reliable performer that fits, stays comfortable and pays back on your investment time and time again.
