The Ocean Pro is a great value when you want to keep it simple without sacrificing durability or features. A combination of 1600 and500 denier Fadeless nylon makes it tough. Superior fit and finish make it comfortable. And the Alliance Inflator system makes it convenient. Only Oceanic can pack 2 Velcro pockets, integrated ergonomic backpack with carrying handle, 4 strategically placed D-ring attachment points, and adjustable cummerbund into such an affordably priced BC. Chest strap is optional The Ocean Pro may be purchased with or without Oceanic's patented QLR Quick Lock & Release System. If you choose not to buy them with your BC, you will have 2 additional storage pockets and may add the QLR Weight Pockets at any time. Your weights stay in position throughout the dive and do not shift around affecting buoyancy or position in the water.
The weight pouches are simple to load and easy to release. Ergonomically designed to be functional and easy to use in any dive position, the Alliance Integrated Inflator provides a full rangeof airway exhaust/inflation control. Simply press a button to produce precise flow for trimming dive attitude or maximum flow for major changes in buoyancy. A large exhaust valve creates a flow rate higher than the inflation rate of the power inflator, improvingdiver control during ascents.
Oceanic's cummerbund offers up to 8" of adjustment to fit a wide range of sizes. For additional customization, the cummerbund may be easily changed with another size. Extra heavy duty padded backpack provides comfort both above and below the surface without having to sacrifice the stability of a hard backpack.

This is a no thrills BCD, but it's comfortable to wear and easy to dive with. Great for beginners.

I wasn't expecting much for the price, and this BCD is functional enough for my needs now. I may need to upgrade as I develop more skills, and get into more technical types of diving.

Two features this BCD does not have that I wish it did: trim weight pockets in the back, and more D-rings to attach accessories on.

Still, not a bad BCD if you are looking for a basic, get out and get wet piece of gear.

Haven't yet figured out how to keep the inflator hose out of my face when taking photos, but I'll get it figured out. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Only been on one short trip with it, but I seemed to have far less aggravation with my tank rolling around with me as with my 20 year old Fathom BCD.

This BC is well made, and has all the features we wanted. It is very light, and the handle on the back makes it easier to carry, when your tank and weights are added. We have had no problems with it. Bought it for my daughter, and now I want one for myself!

I have logged 89 dives with this BC and it works as it did on day one, perfectly. I don’t need all these bells and whistles that come with most BC’s. This BC does its job and that’s what I want. I recommend it to anyone who is a serious diver.

We use this BCD for Openwater Classes, the pouch system appears to be the same as the probe but is not. The pouch will not hold the weights in place, they slide out during a dive and hang by the quick release buckle. Not very safe, I am surprised this one got past the Quality Assurance department. Price and a sloppy weight release systems keep this BCD from being a top performer. Pass, pass, pass.
