Pull down the zipper of the outer cover of the OMS¦ BC and you will see 1000 denier Nylon fabric backed with 5 to 6 oz. of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). This thicker TPU coating helps prevent abrasion and increases puncture resistance. Most competitors use only 1/2 oz. or no urethane backing on their BC covers making them susceptible to punctures, abrasion and subsequentleaks. Housed inside the outer cover we use a puncture resistant bladder constructed from 200 denier Nylon fabric backed with .12 mmof TPU. Most of our competitors use only a thin plastic film bladder that is more susceptible to damage.

There are other differencessuch as 100% quality assurance inspection for leaks, imperfections and defects before your OMS BC is delivered. The 94 lb. lift non-retraction band BC's are made from the same superior materials as the banded BC's. The single bladder model has two (2) relief valves; one is located at the diver's right shoulder and one at the diver's lower left.

Inflator hoses and Dump valves are interchangeable. The unique elastomeric bands (use is optional) assist in deflation, but still allow the diver to orally inflate theBC. The OMS elastomeric bands evenly compress the BC, eliminating the massive air shift associated with non-banded BCs that typically occur when changing body plane. The OMS bands typically retract the BC to a width less than the diver's shoulders, greatlyreducing Drag and Snag potential. By adding or eliminating bands in different parts of the BC, the diver can adjust: a) lateral trimto compensate for stage bottles, cameras, etc. b) Horizontal trim, e.g. head up, down or level.

Comments about OMS OMS 94 lb. Lift Bungee Style Single Bladder:

Bungees are a nightmare to tie when fully inflated, on the lower larger portion of wing..can be done, but i got blisters doing it.
the standard left inflator hose, is better directed when switched with right side shoulder dump valve, and wing turned around. so that the inflator hose passes over from the rear..just works better for me,

Comments about OMS OMS 94 lb. Lift Bungee Style Single Bladder:

First off this is an awesome wing, I use it with my two, 10 liter steel cylinders. The wing provides more than enough lift. Once you install the compression bands onto the wing air easily leaves the unit at depth and at the surface. The only con to the wing is where the oral inflator hose connects to the wing itself. If you install the elbow joint facing down as in the instructions the hose will become crimped against your shoulder. This is easily fixed by having the elbow oriented up rather than down. You will have to readjust your oral inflator though so it faces the correct direction.

Comments about OMS OMS 94 lb. Lift Bungee Style Single Bladder:

This wing is awesome, i originally bought the aqualung pro qd, and had lot's of problems, so i then switched to oms also due to the fact I'm going to train for tech diving and the OMS set-up is great for tech diving and can be configured in many different way's to suit your needs, in (my) opinion OMS is the better way to go, if your just doing recreational or tech diving, i might also add that you don't have to rig the bands the way OMS says to rig them, i riged (MY) bands the jocassee style which eliminates snag on the back of wing in case your doing wreck penetration or cave diving...also GREAT customer service...way to go BRETT

Comments about OMS OMS 94 lb. Lift Bungee Style Single Bladder:

94 pounds of lift is a lot of lift. Fully inflated, it sits very high on the surface. Tought to roll from back to forward surface kick. Basic harness is very stiff and uncomfortable. After buying the bladder, harness, back plate and tank adapter I finally have a BC.

Comments about OMS OMS 94 lb. Lift Bungee Style Single Bladder:

Use it for all my tech dives. Overkill if you are in a dry suit. The bands can be challenging to adjust once tied. You have to work with them a lot to prevent areas between bands from expanding at a different rate than the other side (resulting in sloppy trim). Not for cave use because of the bands. Excellent lift even with my twin 120's.
