Back Plates: OMS's superior d- burring process eliminates back plate sharp edges and prevents abrasion to webbing and BC's. The Aluminum Back Plate weighs 1.75 lbs include the following slots: 1" and 2" width Crotch Strap, (2) Cam band, and a bottom slot to accommodate band bolts that are slightly off 11" On Center. The Aluminum Plate is Hard Coat Anodized and now incorporates additionalslots to mount cam bands for single cylinder configuration.

Harness The OMS deluxe harness is perfect for those who want a quality diving harness with a single left side quick release. The deluxe harness is a cross shoulder harness. This means each side of the upper harness crosses at the top (behind the diver's head), then joins to the lower assemblies on the opposite side. Top left to lower right and top right to lower left. This is a design for superior comfort.

This is my first backplate BCD and I can't go back to jacket style. i always heard that this style of BCD would "push the face into the water if fully inflated". glad i didn't listen because it doesn't (unless you are overweighted on the front). Seriously. most of my diving is recreational in warm waters, and with a rash guard the setup is comfortable. the shoulder straps are handy as a hose router, but don't really enhance/detract from the strap configuration. the D rings are adjustable.
