I've used far worse systems at two or three times the price. Robust and simple to maintain. Can't go wrong for general sport diving activities. Lack of integrated weights keeps it simple and easy to pack and travel.

This was my first BCD and I have not been disappointed. It was a great fit and I was surprised at the quality for the price. I have had no problems with it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I use this mostly for recreational diving and its a simple but rugged BC. The SS D-rings are handy and a great feature for an entry level BC. Ideally a warm water recreational diving BC but I have mounted twin 12L tanks using a bracket on a decompression wreck dive at 54m and had decent lift even while carrying a heavy camera. Also used it on a 60m dive without problems. Doesnt rate with a proper tech rig but its not meant to be one. A great BC considering the price.

Good BCD with simple and effective usage.
My first - and can tell is well made and will last for a while! used on 10+ dives and provides ample lift and expelation of air on decent.
Four Air outlets - Inflator - inflator hose - right rear top - right rear lower.
Definately Recomend and for such a low price why not!

It is a good fit. There are easily accesible pockets and sturdy adjustable straps.

Living in AZ, I do not dive as much as I would like, however there are lakes here that I dive every chance I get. I have had no problems what so ever with this BC.

This product is a well made no frills getter done piece of equipment and looks good to boot.
Streamlined and comfortable fit make this a great choice for anything but specialty diving or extreme conditions.
It's actually just what I wanted! No kidding...

I have been diving for the past ten years and I always recommend this product. these jackets are very durable and easy to use. you can take it off and on during your dive, plus having the pull strings to adjust bouyancy is a great idea.
never leave home without it.

I was use to a hard pack with the fixed handle but I have adjusted to this quite well. The price is good considering what you get. You have to set the strap a little closer to the neck of the tank to avoid nocking your nogan on the yoke.

Nice BCD. Only thing missing is a strap or loop in the back that would allow someone to carry the bcd with a tank.

I bought 2 BCDs for my student divers after trying similar ones in our dive center. It is very simple, comfortable, and an excellent BCD for the money. For a wetsuit it is very effective in bouyancy capacity and Very easy to control bouyancy and trim. Inflator worked well. It took a couple of dives to get used to it but once I did I hardly noticed having it on. I wish it had a couple more D rings. The pockets are roomy and easily accessed.

Great price for a good entry-level BCD. Had no problem finding D-rings or pockets for all my hoses, spare-air, etc... Buoyancy inflated was excellent, and the BCD performed exactly as a BCD should. My only complaint has been some difficulty in adjusting the straps so it doesn't ride up - that'll just take some time to get the hang of I suspect.

My wife and I dive 3-4 weeks each winter and tired of using worn out rental gear.These BCD's fit and perform well,and for the price,just 2 winters holiday rentals would pay for them.

I've been shopping for a travel friendly BCD. The Mares Vector Origin was perfect. Today, few people would consider a BCD without the integrated weight system, but I don't need one when I travel. Resorts always provide weights and belts so why not pack a BCD that is lighter and less bulky? The Mares was the perfect solution -- lightweight without giving up durability and lower cost.

I have been using the Mares Vector BCDs for rental gear for years because you can not wear them out and they hold up well under thousands of dives. I recently ordered 2 new BCDs. During the first week of use the velcro on the left shoulder that holds the inflator hose started to frazzle at the edge. I think that Mares has started using lower quality materials in the product. I guess in a year or so I will know for sure.

This BC is a great buy for beginners. It is just your basic BC, but I love mine. This is the first one that I have bought and it works perfect for me. It is comfortable and gets the job done. I would definately recommend this to anyone who wants a basic, no extra features, BC.

BCD works perfectly so far, easy to adjust bouyancy. tank strap is very snug, shoulder straps and hip strap adjust easily. only con is that the pockets are not very easily reached, so it helps to have a lanyard on everything to get it out of the pockets. and you can't beat the price.

I really have found this vest to be more than great for any beginner diver. The price is right and the vest itself is very easy to use. While doing my training I definitely had the best gear over the other students using rentals, and the best part was I was able to go diving the morning with no hassles.

Great BC. size was a large and I am 6ft 215lbs with large shoulders. I needed to open straps to get in and out but size was fine.
went to the resort and seen the same one at the dive shop for rent. Nice to see it will hold up to a lot of dives.

This is a great BC for anyone from beginner to advanced. It has a shoulder exhaust which is great, and includes small, sometimes unnoticeable things like a cap for the quick disconnect and a whistle.

The BC works great it is very comfortable and adjusts easily. When it is aired up you are sitting in the water level none of this face down stuff like a lot of other bc's

I had reservations of buying a BC until most dive shops began to charge day rents for them. This was a great buy. It works, it is light, and with weight restrictions on bags, it fit wll in my bag, and with all the equip, we stayed way under the 50 LB limit. The other very expensive BC's all weigh more. [...]

This BC is tough, reliable, fits well. It is compact so it packs well. Great for travel, when you use provided weight belts. It has upper and lower air dump; a good safety feature.

Dive Rarotonga use these BCD's in there hire pool, and I was amazed by the features and comfort that they provided.

This BC is a greay buy. It is easy to use and has the wonderful feature of allowing the diver to let air out of the BC in places other than at the inflator hose. This allows you to adjust the air in the BC with out raising your hose up and taking your eyes off of the sites.
