It introduces a newly designed closure system, with which a simple click is all you need to ensure easy and secure storage of the weight pockets inside the special housings in the BC. Shaped pockets to form to your waist, a single outward pull is all you need to release your weights. The oversized release handle is easy to grasp and use, even when wearing thick neoprene gloves. The large opening of the zippered weight pocket makes it easier to insert the ballast. The maximum load per pocket is 6kg/13lbs for most sizes. The Velcro interior is ideal for dividing the pocket into multiple sections if you don't use its full capacity. Trim Weight Pocket Compartments for using fixed weights. I lost one weight packed at second dive at a dry suit speciality course. That could turn into a dangerous situation. I felt I was light in water, but did not at first observe that I lost one of weight packets. I want to buy Mares Prestige bcd again,for my kids, but the version without weight pockets. A weight belt is safer and easier to handle. I also use this bcd when I travel to Philippine for diving, but I do not bring the weight pockets.

I purchased this BCD at the Manhattan Leisure Pro location. I was satisfied with the sales person who assisted us, but this BCD failed on its first use. The integrated weight pouch would not stay in place and fell from my jacket to the ocean floor on my first dive using it. Fortunately my buddy was able to assist me and we were able to retrieve the pouch. I reinserted the pouch but it would not properly lock into place and it fell out 3 more times afterwards. I finally inserted the weight into the BCD pocket and zipped it shut.
This was a potentially dangerous situation caused by a faulty jacket that could have been avoided if Mares had better quality control.

Great bcd, I just purchased this in a package deal, could not be more satisfied, I've done all the searching and research. I have 12 dives with this setup, and hopeing to have 12 more next month. BCD worked great, fit perfect and adjusted to me great, did not ride up at all, and deflated completely when decending, Great Job, Leisure Pro.
I was leaving for vacation in 10 days when ordered, and it showed up in plenty of time. With everything I ordered, I was shocked when they had everything in stock. Thanks Guys, Great Job!!!
