Brand: Dive Rite
Located in: Essential Equipment, Buoyancy Compensators
Designed to be worn with double tanks or singles, the Rec Wing is Dive Rite's most popular due to its versatility. The Rec Wing employs a Gusset Control System (GCS) cord woven through tabs on the front face of the wing. When tightened, the cord limits lift capacity so the Rec Wing can be used with single back-mount tanks. When the GCS cord is loosened, the Rec Wing provides its full lift capacity of 51 pounds/23 kg of lift and can accommodate two 95 ft3/15 L back mounted cylinders. Loose or tight, the GCS cord helps the Rec Wing maintain a small profile for divers traversing in tight passages and the cord compression helps in dumping air. Tough, ballistic nylon outer bag protects the wing from tears and abrasion. The 15-mil urethane bladder is abrasion resistant, chemical resistant and resists the growth of microorganisms. Choice of 16-inch rapid exhaust (pull dump), 16-inch or 12-inch elbow, or Ritesource integrated octo corrugated hose along with 15-inch, 22-inch or 27-inch low pressure inflation hose. The Rec Wing is designed for use with the TransPac, TransPlate or any webbing-style harness. The Rec Wing is made in the U.S.A.

I love this wing.
I usually use it with an 80 tank-but it can accommodate doubles too.
I have had NO problems with air trapping or air shifting or "lifting of my feet" like the gent from Australia said.
In fact, my legs are long, so I would prefer if it lifted my feet somewhat.
I've dove with professional divers and this is what most of them recommend-it is so versatile and well built.
Between this setup and my Poseidon Jetstream reg. diving is perfect.

Comments about Dive Rite Dive Rite Rec Wings (50 Lbs. lift) # 2074:

My only complaint is that it the upper set of holes that a tank band goes through is too small to easily pass the buckle on my Transpac harness. Which is odd being that they are both made by Dive Rite.

Comments about Dive Rite Dive Rite Rec Wings (50 Lbs. lift) # 2074:

This wing is excellent but only for larger doubles. It's made so that people can use it if they dive with singles and doubles but it's far too big even for a single steel 100 tank.

I found the air gets trapped at the bottom of the wing and lifts your feet up in the air. I removed the bungee and it helped a little with the problem. I also found that it has 3 holes so that you can adjust how high the wing sits on the backplate but without the tank adapter you can't adjust the wing
