Innovative design combines advanced performance of a wing style BC during the dive, and the armchair comfort of a front-adjustable jacket at the surface. Incorporating a patented design, the diver can open a valve from the wing into the separate front bladders, add a small quantity of extra air, and float in comfort. The Voodoo BCD is a single bladder 1000 Denier Cordura with a 3.5 oz/square yard polyurethane lined material BCD for strength and extreme durability. The main body/ zippered pockets and shoulder straps are also manufactured from 1000 Denier with 1.5 oz/square yard polyurethane lining; with 1680 Denier Nylon pocket trim.

If high lift is what you need the Voodoo will deliver with 48lbs (21.1kg) from the main bladder and an additional 17 lbs (7.7 kg) from the side bladder. The quick-release weight pockets can accommodate 15lbs each, supplemental weight/accessory pockets with one inch slide release buckle hold up to 10lbs each.

Comfort is ensured with a fully padded hard backpack which is equipped with a carry handle and a soft polymer "gripper" section to prevent tank slippage. The standard tank band with steel/delrin cam buckle secures the cylinder firmly. A size adjustable padded nylon cummerbund with 2" center-pull side release buckle, and a small zippered pocket in the center of cummerbund for car, hotel key or "C"-Card.

To attach everything you need there are four D-Rings on the lower bladder aroundthe waist area, two more above the waist area and four more pre-bent D-Rings on the shoulders. All D-Rings are stainless Steel and corrosion resistant. Nickel plated brass grommets are strategically placed for accessory attachment of BC knife and lanyards.

Premium inflator system with neoprene corrugated hose and cable pull dump mechanism and a rear lower pull dump for inverted release of air. Keep your BCD in close and snug with an adjustable sternum strap completes this BCD, making itone versatile buoyancy unit.

Comments about Bare Bare Voodoo BCD:

I am a fan of Bare products. I have their Blackjack BCD and never had a problem with it and also own one of their dry suits. However, I cannot say the same about their Voodoo BCD. I just returned the 3rd Voodoo BCD.. The 1st one I received had a manufacture defect in the sewing of the outer material that contains the bladder at which point the bladder was exposed when inflated. The 2nd and 3rd BCD's (Newer redesigned 2010 Models) were both returned because the bladders would slowly leak air. When I purchase BCD's I will inflate them until the OPV starts to open and then I let is sit to see how long (usally overnight) that they mantain their air volume. Every BCD I have ever owned have always maintained their volume until I release the air. However, with the last 2 Voodoo's in about an hour they would deflate to about half their inflated volume. No leaks were coming from the OPV's and I also checked the power inflator and connection points to make sure they were tight. All were functioning properly. I think the leak was slowly weeping from the bladder material itself due to bad sealing and construction. Too bad though I really liked how this BCD looked and functioned and the heavy duty appearance but too much of a major safety concern for me to use this particular BCD..

I gave the BCD a very low rating since I consider a BCD not holding air a huge safety concern and especially not knowing if this BCD would completely fail when I needed it most.

Service & Delivery comments:

Leisure Pro's service is outstanding. Everything from their ease in which you can order online and how you know if an item is in stock when you place the order. They have the best no question 60/120 day return policy of any online retailer as well as their PFF Guarentee. Item I have ordered have always arrived in factory fresh packaging and it seems that Leisure Pro goes the etra mile in ensuring all items are packed extremely well.
