I learned to SCUBA with this BC and at first you don’t appreciate how good it is until you try something else. I have dived with this best at sea, in the swimming pool and at Cenotes and it is reliable and most off all DURABLE.
I bought myself a $350 Scubapro BC which looks nicer, but even though it has some nice features I don’t think it is better than this baby… This one has been used and abused by students for years and they look like new, they are easy to get on and off and they work very well, they hold the tank securely allowing you to do fairly long walks with your gear without having to worry. The Velcro strap keeps it in place at all times, and the straps on the shoulders can be tightened and loosened easily in and out of water.
The only thing that I have seen is that they tend to let in a little water than other more expensive BC’s but it is something I would consider normal for a standard BC.
Honestly this BC will perform just as well as any other BC of similar design of any brand and at a fraction of the price. It is not design for technical diving but it can do anything in the recreational range and it will last ages.
Don’t be fooled by the price!

The diving center provides Aqualung The Wave BCD to scuba diving learners. Some of those BCD have been at service every day for the past 6 years, and they are all in good working condition. That's why I have brought this BCD for myself. If you are looking for a high quality BCD from a large company with durability at a bargain price, this is the one you should go for.

frome open ocean to cold water caves this bc has performed great.easy adjustment and the deep pockets are great.comfort is a big plus in longer cave dives and this bc performs great!!!!!

Great entry level BCD that is duralbe and perfect for the daily use its gets on our dive charters in Hawaii. Have had some for years and they look as good as the new ones we just bought!

I was looking for a simple BCD to use with a weight belt. This was it!! The low cost makes it great for beginners. After using BCD's 2-3 times as much, I really enjoy this one.
I have pushed this BCD to the recreational dive limits for the tropics. (130'/40m, almost DAILY dives > 60'/18m, etc) I have not tried it in colder climates.
It's great to have something soooo simple. Dump valves, good tank balance, etc. If you want a bunch of pockets and bulk, this is not the BCD for you. But, with 2 steel D-rings and some plastic ones, it's more than enough!
