The best of both worlds. The innovative hybrid air cell design of the ATMOS LX allows the freedom of movement and other benefits you have come to expect from a rear-inflation BC. However, the unique wrap-around design provides you more lift than most BC's; as well as an improved, upright orientation when on the surface.

The ATMOS LX offers multiple adjustment and attachment points, allowing customization of the BC specific to the divers needs. The ATMOS LX is weight-integrated with a combination of dumpable (20 lbs.) and non-dumpable (10 lbs.) weight pockets.

Patented QLR (Quick Lock & Release) Weight Integration System AERIS' patented QLR Quick Lock & Release System is standard equipment on the ATMOS LX . Your weights stay in position throughout the dive and do not shift around affecting buoyancy or position in the water. The individual 10 lbs. weight pouches are simple to load and easy to release. Best of all, our patented "positive-lock" system helps to ensure that they'll st ay put.

Rear "Trim" Weight Pockets Located on the back of the harness. Provides greater integrated weight capacity and better attitude underwater. Carries up to 10 non-dumpable pounds.

Hybrid Air Cell The innovative design of the ATMOS LX allows the freedom of movement and other benefits you have come to expect from a rear-inflation BC. However, the unique wrap-around design of the air cell provides you more lift than most BC's; as well as an improved, upright orientation when the BC is inflated and you are on the surface.

Fadeless 1000 Denier Cordura¦ Construction Exterior abrasion points of the ATMOS LX are covered in our new "Fadeless" 1000-denier Cordura¦ - tough stuff that will hold up to years of extreme diving and keep that "new look" longer.

Pre-Bent Stainless Steel D-rings Welded and slightly bent for easy, one-handed attachment.

Silverjack BC Knife / Integrated Retractor Mounting Grommets A pair of stainless steel grommets on both the left and right pocket panels keep your Silverjack BC Knife and Integrated Retractor out of the way but just where you want them.

Oversized Quick-Release Adjustment Buckles The ATMOS LX's extra-strength harness is outfitted with 2" quick release buckles for easy adjustment, even with thick gloves.

Since the first time I dropped into the water with it I knew this was the best BCD I had ever put on. If you dont use a lot of weight the pockets are just fine. I bought the Aeris Air Link with it and love it. This is a great purchase!!!

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

Nice design and is very comfortable. Hybrid design with multiple dump valves makes for easy bouyancy control on surface as well as in the water column. Integrated weight pocket removal is a snap, insertion takes a bit to get used to due to a tight design around the pockets. Love the weight trim pockets in the back.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

I've had 3 BCs since I started diving 13 years ago and the Atmos LX is the first to make me feel like the scuba unit is a part of me, rather than something hanging off me. My first BC was an Oceanic vest which fit poorly (I'm 6'5") the second was a DiveRite back inflation which fit well but I didn't like the tendency to be pushed forward on the surface and the way the tank would move around.

Third time is the charm!

Service & Delivery comments:

LP had an open box in my size at a price that was impossible to refuse. The unit arrived promply and is "new" in all regards except for the packaging.

Good Job...as usual!

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

Used the Aeris Atmos LX on two boat dives today. One was a wreck dive. I've been using my one time instructor turned dive buddy's Dacor Talon, which was a generally good bcd. I felt absolutely comfortable in the Aeris Atmos from the first time I dropped off of the boat through the entire dive. The noticeable difference between the Dacor and the Aeris, outside of the generally more comfortable fit, was the better positioning in the water. The Aeris is a hybrid. Mostly back inflatable, with a little air on the sides for surface bobbing. I had zero problems at the surface with the Aeris. I love this bcd. For those of you considering purchase of the Aeris Atmos, I was lucky enough to find an open-box/demo in my size from Leisurepro at a considerably lower price than one considered "new". It is for all practical purposes "new". [...]

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

I like this BC a lot. It's my first and I'm very happy with my choice. They call this a hybrid BC as it has some features like a back inflate as well as a jacket style but what I like is that the sides don't ride all the way up under your armpits. It fits me well and is comfortable to don. The only thing I find cumbersome is getting to the pockets, they are tight to get to but I dont put anything in there really so Im not so concerned about it. Overall Im happy.

However, the straps are difficult to adjust. I expect they just need time to 'break in'.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

Prior to using the Atmos LX, I had only used back inflation BCs and have never been comfortable on the surface. On my first dive with the Atmos LX, when I surfaced, I was actually in a comfortable position. While underwater, I barely noticed the added material on the sides, had no air trapping, and appreciated the larger pockets. Could use a few more D rings, and I would like it a little longer in the torso, but that's just me, tall and thin. Overall, I look forward to many years with this BC!

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

I use my BCD every day and thinks it is very comfortable. It's even good for teaching since it is not fully "wing style" 70% back inflated if I'm not mistaken... The fit is great and once you're in the water you hardly feel you're wearing it.

I've used it for a couple of months now, aprox. 100 dives, and the stitches for the shoulder quick dump is coming loose. Part from that the quality seems really good.

Downside is that it is a bit heavier than necessary. I got rid of the integrated weight pockets so it's a bit better now. Also if you are using integrated weights, the bcd pockets are not easy to access.

Comments about Aeris Aeris Atmos LX BC:

I love this BCD! Has great size pockets, fits true-to-size, adjusts great, and is built well. Has the built-in elastic cumberbun that adjusts as you dive deeper so you don't have to resecure at depth. Only thing I would change is more D-rings, has two only 6 if you include the rear, another 2 would be nice. I would recommend this product.
